One thing that I found very realistic (and that in this dangafan was much deeper than in the franchise's own games) is the fact of restlessness after a class trial. Overcoming is something difficult and Teruko proves it so far, but she has her reasons (as much as it gets in the way in free times hahaah but by putting herself in her shoes that everyone pointed out as a suspect of killing and she was the real victim) and that's why Ace is also not that far removed from what he's having with Levi. A fear: I didn't want Nico or Ace to die yet, I feel that they still have a lot of history and my curiosity kills. ahahahaha

As much as I love Nico, they are getting way too much attention this chapter, and based on what just happened, I feel like they will be the victim with Ace being the lead suspect. Wouldn't surprise me if the events of the picnic are important as well, with something said exposing the killer, possibly the fact that Hu's nickname is Julia to divert attention to J.

Absolutely correct. They came to the gym in workout clothes, which implies they came TO WORK OUT. Also, the broom on the ground could have been used to knock down the fan. Unfortunately, the detail of Nico's clothes feels like an evidence point that could only be used if Nico is the victim and can't defend themselves in the trial. We first have to prove they didn't attack Ace in order to establish who killed them...

Spoilers omg I think some of you guys are right. The stepstool, the tape, the fan on the ground. Ace tried to kill himself, but the fan came off. And Nico probably stumbled to the scene and then tried to get it off him, but Ace woke up and thought Nico was trying to murder him. Just that day Nico had told him "I will kill you", so it probably was a logical conclusion in Ace's mind. Now I think the next day they are going to stumble on Nico's body, since I don't think Nico actually returned to their room. And Ace is going to be the main suspect.

Okay, here’s my working theory (spoilers ahead): Ace tried to hang himself from the ceiling fan. The step stool next to the fan makes this likely. Nico walked in on the suicide attempt and tried to save him. I think they used the broom to knock down the fan. Regardless, whatever they did caused the wire to slice through Ace’s neck, giving him that injury. Nico broke/cut the wire off of Ace’s neck, hence why it was cut in half and they were holding part of it. After being seen by Teruko and Eden, they ran out and took the elevator. Ace, refusing help, will die from his injuries. Evidence will reveal his suicide attempt, but there will be one key caveat: Nico, having accidentally caused the injury that made Ace bleed out and die, is technically the true killer and will be convicted as such. This is despite the fact that they never actually tried to murder Ace, but in fact tried to save him. This would explain both of their secret quotes: Ace’s is something along the lines of “I just don’t know what to do with myself anymore”, and Nico’s is something like “Why should I own up for the mistakes someone else made?”

Ace dying from bloodlose would be anticlimactic though. Also it wouldn't be too much of a mystery, since Teruko and Eden saw Nico there, so they are the only suspects unless they try to lie. the only mystery would be learning that Ace tried to kill himself, it wouldn't make for a very long or complicated trial. Also it feels weird that the secrets don't have anything to do with this. This is more about Ace and Nico's problems between each other and Ace's insecurities. If there is a murder on this chapter, shouldn't it had to have SOMETHING to do with the secrets?

Spoilers: Here's just a list of things I noticed starting from night time, just to compile as much evidence as possible for others: Nico tends to the minnows at night, but they have to do it before 10 PM since the room is closed. They could have stumbled upon Ace's body on accident. Eden felt that she was being watched by someone who wasn't Teruko. Could have also been Nico or an unknown party. Ace's fingertips are bloody before waking up. He was probably try to pull off the wire after his neck was cut. The blood is dripping from the wire while Nico is holding it, so it was probably removed recently. The wall is smudged with blood behind Ace's neck while he's lying unconscious. Ace has multiple lines of cuts, though they are all in the same area. Nico doesn't have their jacket thing on. I think this is the first time we've seen then without it, and we have no indication where it went. Nico's hands are remarkably clean despite holding the wire on a bloody portion. They very likely took the wire off of Ace's neck. They also probably didn't leave the handprint on the elevator. The wire only touches Nico's palms, and their fingers are very clean. The blood marks on the wire are all in very strange places. There's a significantly long, bloody portion, a very small bloody portion, and then a longer one still attached to the fan. The stepstool and broom were not in the gym when Teruko first visited. As far as I can tell, nothing was removed, though some things are knocked over. Ace and Nico were both present when Arei's rope was mentioned to be put in the storage. The wire here is certainly not the one originally belonging to Arei. Wire is Hu's weapon. 3 people were not there when Arei's rope was mentioned: Levi, Hu, and Rose. The bloody on the elevator is absolutely Ace's. If Nico did leave blood there, it was covered up by Ace. Ace definitively states that someone tried to murder him, implying it was Nico. Ace's line about dying young or living a long life of suffering with this option being neither is concerning. Edit: More evidence from Karl Rassman There is a single weight on the right side of the room, separated from all the other weights in their right place. Notably, it could have knocked out Ace without him seeing before setting up his death if there was a third party. It's hard to tell exactly what Nico's clothes are. It somewhat looks like they changed to exercise clothes, but it also could just be their regular shirt given the pouch-esque shape on front. Theory 1: I'd guess Ace was trying to hang by the fan and wire, hit this stool out with the broom, and started to claw at the wire once it started to cut him from his own body weight. I'm guessing the sound at 18:21 was Ace struggling enough to make the fan fall which led Nico, who was hiding and waiting for Teruko and Eden to leave, to the gym. Nico probably tried taking the wire off Ace's neck, though Ace may have interpreted it as Nico trying to steal an easy kill before Ace bled to death. From there, Eden finally convinces Teruko to head to the gym in which they discover the scene and Nico takes off (to either floor 1 or 2, we can't say). This theory leaves some weird holes like the blood pattern on the wire and the smudge on the wall, but I find the general impression most believable. I think it explains why Ace could pivot from wanting to die (notably, by himself) to wanting to kill Nico. Ace probably wouldn't anticipate how much hanging (especially if it cuts you) would hurt, and as someone who clearly hates being in pain, becoming the blackened to still end his own life might seem like an alternative. Theory 2: A third party tried to kill Ace and disguise his death by hanging him. Obvious suspects are Hu for having the wire while not knowing about the rope and Rose for also not knowing about the rope and spending the evening with Nico. I think this one is less plausible, but I might as well have it here. I also think that someone else besides Ace will die this chapter if theory 1 is true. Nico is an unfortunately plausible option.

I'd also like to offer the evidence of a single weight not in its place on the right side of the gym, by the treadmills. It could be that Ace was knocked unconscious with the weight to set up the hanging. I think the *BANG* was Nico using the broom to knock the fan down, personally. It landed with enough force to knock over a gym bench, and those are typically pretty sturdy considering the activities that they're used for. Regarding Nico's clothes, it looks like they changed into workout gear. This would explain why they went to the gym before the *BANG* sound happened. Unfortunately, it also sounds like the kind of evidence point we'd have to explain if Nico were the victim and died in those clothes.

It looks like the shirt might be the same one they normally wear, with the little pouch thing out in front being on both their normal clothes and the clothes they are wearing now. The pants also seem the same, but it's hard to tell. I don't believe we've seen much of Nico's shirt before. I feel like it's pretty safe to say that the bang was from the fan falling. You do bring a good point where we can't say for certain who made the fan fall. Nico could definitely have done that, though I'm not sure how able a broom would be at taking down a ceiling fan.

Once again, some thoughts/predictions mostly for myself Gonna order who I think is mostly likely to die this chapter, not necessarily victim or murderer specifically Least likely: Teruko, Ace, Levi, Charles, Whit Most of them have arcs that rely on another that really need more time to play through, and they haven't had extremely significant chapter importance compared to their usual roles. Unlikely: Hu, Veronica They just have done very little recently Maybe: J, David, Eden Despite J being significant at the beginning of the chapter and in the title card, she hasn't actually done too much. Her motive wasn't actually that strong of one to kill even if it was seemingly significant. She seems more as a likely scapegoat or witness than anything this chapter. I really don't know how I feel about David, so I'm dumping him here. Eden was initially very low since she is an important counterpoint to Teruko's thesis on life, but she's starting to send up some flags. It's possible that she dies to affirm Arei and Teruko's views on life early on in the game since we're still very early in. More Likely: Arturo Barely edging out the three below because his death could land J in hot water. He could definitely have an arc, but I think the net loss of potential isn't as drastic as some other characters since he hasn't really changed his worldview in any compelling way yet. Could also set up chapter 3 character changes with Veronica and J who haven't had too much change since the start as well. Most Likely: Rose, Arei, Nico Rose is connected with Teruko through the motive, and I suspect early deaths will all have some connection with her to almost "prove" her own thoughts that she only brings bad luck. Though others helped with the class trial, Rose had one of the most obvious roles in exposing the killer. Since we now have her backstory, and she has displayed how her skills could help unravel mysteries with more materials, her dying to leave questions unanswered this early on could push suspense even more. Arei left a lot out in the open after last episode. She could definitely live to have an arc, but she could also die to confirm Teruko's views on the killing game and make her worse, especially if Arei dies after trying to extend kindness to someone. She's also just felt pretty significant this chapter in general, and she doesn't have anyone she's particularly close to though Hu and David could feel responsible for her death. Nico just has dying vibes lol. too lazy to explain my reasoning. I imagine they would live to the end if they survives chapter 2 and 3 though Edit: Raising Hu up to More Likely or Maybe. The fact that she shares her name with J, the involvement of wire on the scene, and more insight on her character does start to throw up a few worrisome signals. Also, pretty sure Ace is mad at Nico for preventing an attempt and not for trying to kill him. Edit again: man.

From what I remember, in the main games, the chapter 2 victim is always the character who made the first rebuttal (it’s also the case in SDRA). If the despair time creator sticks to that pattern, then David might be the victim.

Spoilers for the episode Okay I knew ace would die but the scene was definitely unexpected. And seeing Nico killing him is kinda predictable or it's bc I read a lot of comments such as that. Luckily ace isn't dead yet but since he decided to stay in his room, he's definitely gonna die next episode due to blood loss. Unless he went to the infirmary himself but I don't think so. Also the fact about Nico. They're probably gonna be the most suspicious. They either actually tried to murder ace since he threat him or did something bad again, or Nico is actually a witness. Either trying to investigate or trying to help him. Or another possibility they died after that and Eden and Teruko couldn't like ask them questions. If it is evidence, then Arturo may survive this chapter in order to convey it. This is my copium. Holy crap, Nico was not joking. We underestimated the ‘bean’, didn’t we? Arturo, spaghetti husband, my guy… Why is nobody fucking fetching you? He’s about to bleed out! Levi’s having some serious doubts… If Nico and Rose both survive this chapter, things’ll be a little awkward with the painting sessions. Wait until the rest of the class finds out about all this…

Well, dang. I'm not a huge fan of Ace, but I hope he doesn't die of his wounds. I also don't think Nico did it, at least not fully, or someone else set it up, and Nico triggered it. Edit: I read some of the comments, and I don't think Ace tried to kill himself. It would make more sense to use the rope Arei gave up than a very painful wire, which I saw someone else say was Hu's weapon. It feels more like a fake suicide, and Nico stumbled upon it and tried to help Ace out.

Spoilers Okay, I have no idea what just happened, but let's review... Ace trying to hang himself is an interesting idea, and there was a stool right next to him, supporting this theory. However, that wire really caused his neck to bleed out. I'm not sure anyone would use that method to kill themselves. Maybe the killer knocked Ace unconscious and tried to stage his death as a suicide? Definitely don't think Nico strangled him though, they don't seem strong enough. Another thing- there were two pieces of wire found, both with blood on them. Maybe someone else has already been killed, and we just didn't find their body yet? ...Please show up next episode Arei

If Ace did try to hang himself, it’s possible that Nico tried to stop him, but the way they did so accidentally caused the wire to cut into Ace’s neck. If this is what happened and Ace dies from his injury, Nico would probably be deemed the killer because they inadvertently caused the injury that led to Ace’s death. It would align with Nico’s secret quote: “Why should I own up for the mistakes that someone else made?”

Spoilers: YALL YALL YALL HU HAD WIRE I WENT BACK AND CHECKED THE WEAPON LIST AND HU HAD WIRE WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN Also, no, Ace is not going to bleed out. They writers seem to be sticking relatively close to modern medical knowledge, and if Ace has a neck wound and was still able to run and yell, the wound can't be very deep. If Ace bleeds out from this, it means that someone else made another incision over the original wound to throw the others off their trail. I think Hu tried to kill Ace and make it look like a suicide, but Nico walked in and cut the wire before Ace died. Hu likely knocked out Ace from behind, so Ace (somewhat reasonably) assumes that it must have been Nico who tried to kill him, since Nico did threaten it earlier in the episode. Oh and that "this is good because you won't be misgendered anymore!" followed by "I wasn't ready" and then being immediately brushed off? HAHAHAHAHAHA right to the soul

Spoilers I also think there's a possibility, if the body discovery is next episode, and also since I feel like Nico didn't actually return to their room, that Nico will end up getting killed by Hu this night, maybe cause Hu's murder of Ace didn't work and she has to make do with Nico, or cause Nico discovered her and she had to silence them. I also feel like she's the one who was keeping an eye on Eden, probably to either make sure she didn't save Ace or that she stumbled into the body. This would also make Ace the prime suspect in the trial, since he wanted to kill Nico, while at the same time causing confusion cause Ace is CERTAIN that Nico was the one who tried to kill him and not Hu

Spoiler warning! Also further warning for suicide discussion. Okay, just spitballing here, but analyzing the scene of the fitness room, I have a hunch as to what the killer was aiming to do with Ace. I'm not saying the attempted killer is Nico(yet), because even though they were at the scene and holding the weapon, there's still room for doubt. Teruko even questions whether or not Nico was the killer despite them coming upon that specific scene, so it's possible they were involved, but not out for blood. I think the attempted killer was trying to make it look like Ace committed suicide. The step stool, the fact that the wire was around his neck, and the wire was connected to the broken ceiling fan indicates as much. Like they tried to tie him to the fan, but his body weight broke it and he fell to the ground. Also, I wouldn't count this as evidence, but the sign in the background, as funny as it is, does have step 2 be "give up". I also have a potential theory that Ace was actually trying to commit suicide himself. I thought that he tried to do it, Nico walked in and tried to stop it(resulting in them holding the weapon when Eden and Teruko ran in), and fled. But after looking back through the dialogue, with Ace blatantly saying that someone tried to kill him, specifically Nico, I'm not entirely sure about that. Maybe he could be lying, since he refused care for his neck wound and says that he doesn't care if it gets worse, and he's clearly been showing signs of suicidal ideation. Still, is Ace really that petty that after realizing he's not dead, he tries to pin everything on Nico? Does he still just want to hold power over them now that he doesn't have Nico's secret? Idk, this is Ace we're talking about, that could be a possibility. Maybe there's the possibility that Nico's involvement led to a misunderstanding between the two, and that's why Ace thought Nico was trying to kill him, but we won't know more until the next episode. Either way, with whatever happened in the fitness room, whether he tried to do it himself, someone else tried to kill him, or Nico DID try to kill him, I'm getting suicide vibes involved in one way or another.

Spoilers Though the idea of Ace almost *ahem* offing himself I think this might’ve been a contraption of sorts I’ll list the evidence as to why I might think this Broom: The broom might’ve been used to hold up the door from outside since it wouldn’t make sense any other way for it to be there. Fan: The fan most likely was used in the death machine and the reason as to why it broke might’ve been from Ace struggling, along with the fan falling it probably wasn’t the thing that made the sound with Nico being there and we don’t know if he capable of taking it down. String: Even if Ace had tried to off himself there wouldn’t really be a way he got the string in the first place. Stool: The stool would be used to set up the machine to get up to the fan and attach the string and to also mislead. Alert Sound: The sound that is made from the gym might’ve actually been from the dumbbell stack since it’s shown to have fallen over. Nico: Nico’s sprite is different and similar to when he was laying down while Rose was painting which would mean that it’s what he looks like without his hood, which begs the question where the hood even went through the time that Teruko was in the relaxation room with Nico, Hu, and David and the time she was with J and Arturo in the dressing room. Ace’s “Corpse”: Ace’s body was found in a confusing position that could’ve only been moved by Nico since he seemed to be the first one there which would make since with what I had said with the fan. There’s also the fact that Ace is still breathing with that amount of blood coming out of his neck which means the string hadn’t cut down enough to where it gave him problems to breathe afterwards. That’s really all you’ll get from me for now.

I guess it's possible. The main problem if that Ace seemed to remember Nico attacking him, even though Nico left before he woke up. I wonder if Nico simply walked into the crime scene and was willing to watch Ace die, which is why Ace thought they did it. I struggle to believe that Nico walked into the crime scene after Ace fell, since Eden and Teruko went there almost immediately, so Nico wouldn't have had the time to process the crime and then grab the murder weapon for no reason.

yeah, but there was blood on the rope Nico was holding but no blood stain on their clothing. If there was a struggle, Nico would definitely get blood on themself, right? I suppose they could've done it with their jacket thing on and then took it off but that was sort of used last chapter so i doubt it. I also doubt it because they still had their gloves on, and a part of their glove is light pink but it had no stain on it. Also if there was a struggle, there would be more cuts on the rope. You can see there already are some but that can be dismissed as where it broke from the ceiling fan, or when arei used it on monotv. maybe im just overanalyzing idk

Wow, what an episode! I'm really excited for the next one! I was kinda expecting that Ace would be the second victim and Nico the second/third killer, but I didn't think it'd turn out like this. I guess there's a chance Eden will die instead of Ace, and Nico is much more likely to be innocent now. The good thing if that if Nico survives this chapter, they may survive the whole killing game, which is something I thought was impossible. Also, Nico's gender reveal surprised me by how unsurprising it was. I thought it was already known that they may have been NB, because people used neutral pronoums for them before. I don't remember if it happened in the series or outside of them, but if a character actually used neutral pronoums on Nico before this was revealed, then they are most likely the mastermind.

Theory time! After thinking about it for a while it seems most likely that Ace tried to commit suicide. We have seen especially since the beginning of Chapter 2, that he has gotten more and more hostile and angry with others as the story goes on (especially towards Nico). So that makes me that he believed suicide was his only option, since he could not handle the pressure of the killing game anymore. That would also explain why he refused to be treated for his injuries, since he wanted to die anyway and didn,t wanna anyone to keep him alive. And as for Nico I believe that they saw that Ace was about to kill himself and tried to prevent it by removing the wire from Ace so that he wouldn't die. Other theories: Hu could be the culprit, since her weapon was the wire. Either that or Nico could have actually tried to kill Ace and was caught in the act by Teruko and Eden, but i believe that to be unlikely, since there was no blood on their hands and it would just seem too obvious. But that's my theories. I,ll have to wait to the next episode to see how things play out.

Spoilers: No Arei in this episode. That's fair considering how much we got from her last time. No Charles, Veronica or Whit either. Hu lost her composure for the second time, and this one was worse than the last time with Arei. Granted, Ace and Arei have easily been the two most openly antagonistic people here, but still. Wasn't really expecting her of all people to snap at Ace, but it fits her character. Still, blaming Ace for Nico's "I'll kill you" is a little unfair, I think, even if Ace has undoubtedly been the bad guy of the situation. Especially since no one talked to them about that comment later, which proved to be a mistake by David and Hu to gloss over it. David also seemed to either ignore or miss Nico's "...I wasn't ready" comment. Hm. Ace not retaliating after Hu slapped him is interesting to me. Considering how Rose just commenting on the situation made Ace get angry again, and he obviously wants revenge on Nico, I wonder what about that situation made him finally stand down. The thing with Ace is, he's all bark and no bite. He hasn't actually gotten into a physical fight until this point (unless you count the arm wrestling match he lost to Xander, I guess). So him losing the first actual altercation is also interesting to me. He's probably stronger than Nico on account of being a jockey, but if Teruko didn't forget her clothes and have to go get them, Ace might already be dead. Did...did Teruko's luck just save Ace? Or did it technically hurt him because now he's still suffering from the injury? I doubt Eden's gonna let Ace just bleed out. He'll probably pass out again, and Eden will probably get someone's help in patching Ace up. Maybe Arturo since he's probably the most qualified, assuming Arturo won't just say no. Although I don't know if Ace locked his door. If he did, that might be a problem. Ace is not the type of person to back down. So if both him and Nico survive this chapter (that's a BIG if at this point), oh boy, they are going to be at each other's throats SO much in chapter 3. (That wasn't meant to be a pun, but it is now. No going back.) Everyone's probably going to find out what Nico tried to do, unless other peoples' theory of Ace trying to commit suicide are true (But I kind of doubt it since Nico did say they would kill him). Assuming Nico did try to kill Ace, I don't think Hu's reaction is going to be pretty. Or David's, for that matter. Ace may have been an asshole to Nico this entire time, but that didn't warrant... THIS. It's gonna be important to learn how that incident even started. Did Ace track Nico down and start yelling at them again, which pushed them over the edge? Was Ace just on his own in the gym doing something and Nico snuck up on him? Was this really a suicide attempt that Nico interrupted? (If it was, I'm not really sure why Ace would lie about that, but it's possible) Ace didn't even care that everyone would know he did it if he got revenge. He just wanted revenge. Period. Brutal. Is Levi finally going to stop trying to make up with Ace? I doubt they're going to stop interacting altogether, but Levi seems pretty fed up. Next episode is definitely going to be wild. Things are ramping up fast. Wait a minute, Ace's hands are bloody before he woke up and Nico's are... clean??? Huh. Also, why aren't they wearing their jacket? This might be more complicated than I thought. Also, MonoTv is going to clean up the crime scene, so... if Nico DIDN'T do this... and this WASN'T a suicide attempt... whoever did do this might not be found out. Crazy idea, but if a third party did this, is it possible the person who told Xander to kill Teruko did this? Someone DID vote for Teruko at the end of the last trial besides Min. That was never talked about. The question is: Why would whoever wanted Teruko dead try to kill Ace of all people next?

@SockTheCat Well, Nico did pick up MonoTV with only one hand (MonoTV is 25 pounds). So Nico may actually be pretty strong, but since they didn't compete in the arm-wrestling contest, it's kind of hard to know for sure. Still, them being strong enough could potentially be a possibility, though your other theory does make sense. Maybe someone else started the murder attempt, making most of the marks, and they just tried to finish the job.

I know I'm commenting a lot but this is my last one. i don't think Ace will bleed out. If Ace died from blood loss, then MonoTV wouldn't clean the crime scene, since the others would have to investigate what happened to Ace. Spoilers And we know he cleans it based on the preview scene we saw before Chapter 2 came out, which showed Teruko and Rose entering the gym and it being completely clean and MonoTV explaining that it did indeed cleaned it. Also the fact that both Teruko and Rose talk about the incident and Rose even starts doing exercise, I don't think they would be so calm if Ace was in any serious danger (maybe Teruko would but Rose I don't see it)

Theory (Spoilers Ahead): ... ... ... Could Ace have been knocked out by Hu and have been attempted to be forcibly hanged by her? Although an unlikely theory, my reason behind this is that Hu's custom weapon is a wire. I also believe that the custom weapons are still available for the remaining participants to use at any time. Niko could have walked in on the scene and put into a state of shock, allowing for Hu to put the wire in his bloodied wire in his hands and ran off. Unfortunately, she may have not accounted for Ace's resilience as a person. Hu could have also used the situation by defending Niko earlier to take advantage. The defence mechanism of defending Niko could have setup an alibi in-case of a murder. Also the state that Niko was in during the kitchen early in the episode may have helped Hu kill Ace (pinning the target onto Niko). Knowing Ace's personality, he's prone to anger and quickly blamed the first person he woke up seeing that murdered him that being Niko. Not to mention, Hu is also hiding her motive until the day that it is revealed due to it "making her uncomfortable." I believe this gives her further motivation to kill and escape. Knowing Niko's nature as a 'scaredy-cat' could also work in Hu's favour hence why she made a "spur of the moment" decision to pin the blame on Niko. Knowing her name real name is also Julia may also work in her favour and could also throw the lot for a loop in the class trial. I also think Hu could kill Ace later, but then again, anyone could since he's vulnerable. I also thought Hu would be a Chapter 2 killer since Chapter 1, similarly to that of Kirumi Tojo from DRV3. Both have a sense of daintiness, diligence, and semi-composure but can easily snap until the right circumstances. Albeit, that's more coincidental evidence. I also saw another comment come up with a similar theory about Hu being a third party. Neat!

If Nico becames the victim of this chapter, all the suspicion would fall on... Ace Markey [ I don't believe Ace will be the blackened if you asked me, It would make everything too obvious, that's not how Danganronpa works... Also, we haven't seen not even the slightest character development on Ace, so It's most likely he won't die this chapter ] And, if nico dies, Ace would have to explain what happened during that "Struggle" on the gym, revealing a possible suicide attempt [ A good place to start with character development if you asked me ] Escenario 2. Ace dies instead of Nico, let's review even If it's most likely Nico is dying now, let's remember an important factor... Ace is severely injuried, and more vulnerable, he doesn't want to treat his injuries, that would make him even weaker... And... Also a good target, and of course... The suspicion would fall on Nico this time, who was found "Finishing their job" on the gym [ This suspicion would even be harsher, since they have 2 witnesses of him "Killing" Ace ] And, If we take onto consideration Ace is more vulnerable, If a fight occured between this 2 again, It would be fairer... Leading again the suspicion towards Nico [ However, a third party would be involved... ] I Believe important pieces of the next murder could be... 1. Arei's rope [ Which is, as said by MonoTV, on the storage room, FREE for anyone to grab it ] 2. Teruko's motive [ Which remains a secret, it is most likely remains a secret because it will have some sort of relevance to the case ] 3. Hu's nickname [ Who may have some sort of relevance, since is revealed suddenly to the audience ] Those would be my theories ! Ok, this video proves that the writers are really pulling our legs here! After watching the video here is what I hope and want *The victim is either David, J, or Ace (I mean if someone tried to killed Ace what’s stopping them from trying again?!) *Nico is not the killer but instead is the student that the real killer tries to frame (even if I didn’t want them to survive, seeing a character like Nico framed and accused would be much more suspenseful than if it was Ace AND Ace was looking for Nico so it would a perfect opportunity for someone to framed them. Also for all we know it probably wasn’t Nico who tried to slash him, it might’ve been someone else) *Nico, Hu, and Rose are all alive at the end of this chapter *The killer is Arei (for all we know she could of been lying about her past AND her written secret might’ve been something else) *Next video reveals the victim (I’m getting tired of all this suspense and we have enough red flags 🚩 surrounding a big number of the characters already!)

Spoilers Honestly, people may think Ace is just dumb and mean, and that's it, but people like him exist in the real world. People who take everything to heart and think every single thing said and done is going against him in some way, and their response is to constantly throw shit at the person without caring to hear to what they have to say, occasionally using things that they know hurt the person for their advantage in standing above them. I didn't care about Ace at first, but this humane aspect given to him has made me like him a lot more. As for Nico, it's pretty much the same as Ace, as a nonbinary myself, I love the representation and Nico's character a lot. The reveal and Nico's behaviour around it felt really natural, it was like I was seeing myself in the screen. I also love that this fangan isn't scared to give the LGBTQ+ people a "dark side", I've seen other projects avoid that because they think it's ruining the representation, but it really doesn't, in fact, it's what it should be, humans are imperfect, just because you're LGBTQ+, it doesn't mean you can't do bad things. Just like Ace's case, Nico has grown for me a lot too with this. This series really stands up for it's characters and how human they and their interactions are, I can firmly say this is my favourite fangan (and probably better than the main franchise imo), congrats to the creator! This is top-tier right here.

On the Nico situation, I have to admit that I'd seen Nico listed as using "he/they" in just about every fangan related source or page since partway through Chapter 1 to where when Nico's reveal happened, I wondered "Didn't we know this?". However, it of course makes sense as a secret narrative-wise because in-universe, people didn't necessarily know that before, I believe.

SPOILER!!! Theory: I really don't think Nico did it. The way the room looked proved that it wasn't a simple "I cut your throat with a wire by sneaking up on you" but actually a smart plan either commited by Ace himself (Suicide) or another Party that knocked out Ace before trying to kill him by hanging him with the wire (there were no sounds of struggle or screams and I think being strangled/cut with a wire from a possibly gone mad classmate would lead to some reactions). The later being more likely since Ace did think Nico tried to kill him. My guess is he woke up and saw Nico and either paniced, which caused the fan to rip off, or he saw a glimpse of them before passing out when Nico put him against the wall and tried to remove the wire. I guess Nico was closer to the Gym or actually ran into Ace slowly dying and tried to help him but, when they saw Ace lying there and they may knew he was still breathing they thought about it, which caused their animalistic side to come out but Teruko and Eden interrupted them and, knowing they wouldn't believe them and being scared of what they could have done to Ace if not stopped, Nico flees. It is also interesting that they didn't have their jacket. Maybe they were resting in a nearby room and heard the girls pass through, Nico will probably be the main suspect and the main point of the trial will be defending Nico and trying to get the truth out. Maybe they have two sides of themselves who act independant from another, not necessary remembering what happened during that time. As for possible suspects: The wire could lead to Hu since it was her murder weapon but I can't really see her do that. This is also not really so exclusive because everyone knew about it due to the list from trial 1. Another person I could totally see is whoever had Ace's secret. I don't think Nico has it because they could have easily used it against him. So someone who still has it is a suspect: I think we have so far: Teruko Tawaki -> Rose Lacroix Charles Cuevas -> ??? (gave it to Teruko in case his reaction to blood hinders him from bringing it up in a trial) J Rosales -> Charles Cuevas David Chiem -> Arei Nageishi Ace Markey -> Nico Hakobyan Arturo Giles -> J Rosales Soooo that leaves: Arei (unlikely, just had a character arc so I doubt it) Eden (impossible, was with Teruko) Hu (possible) Levi (unlikely due to them meeting him and offering to save him) Nico (unlikely due to him not using it to defend himself) Rose (possible) Veronika (possible) Whit (possible) That's all I got If I got something wrong or you got any ideas, please don't hesitate and offer your opinion/help^^

Correction: We actually do not know whose secret Charles received. It was given to Teruko, not because it was her secret, though it still might be, but because Charles wants someone else to handle what might be potential evidence in case his phobia renders him unable to contribute to a future trial.

*SPOILERS FOR THIS AND PAST EPISODES!!* One thing I'm curious about that hasn't been addressed yet, is why Ace was even in the Gym in the first place. It was after the nighttime announcement when they found him, and since Ace is so wary of being killed, you'd think he wouldn't want to wander around alone at night when there is a pretty good chance someone will try to kill him, since there wouldn't be any witnesses around. I suppose he could've headed for the Gym before the nighttime announcement, but he couldn't have been bleeding to death on the ground for too long, or else he'd be, well, dead already. The only reason I could think of for why he'd be in the gym so late is that he was returning the elastic band thing he took earlier. Since he took it to spite Levi, he wouldn't want people to see him returning it, because then they might think he was being nice or that he forgave Levi or something, and Ace doesn't like to be seen as anything but threatening. This would explain why he went out so late, when there wouldn't be a lot of people around. Though it seems this backfired and he got ambushed before he could return to his room (My bets are on Hu but I guess we'll have to wait and see).

AFTER-EPISODE PREDICTION: I'm calling my prediction here: Nico dies the next day, Ace is the main suspect, Hu is the killer. That whole name thing is just too weird to be a coincidence, it will at the very least be a red herring. Wildcard prediction is that David ends up as the real culprit who actually lied about his real secret and revealed a phony one, tricking everyone into a false sense of trust; evidence for this is mainly how progressively worried david looks through the episodes and the secrets ice-breaker thing being a possible form of foreshadowing. ALSO WANT TO POINT OUT as others have that I am very confident Ace tried to hang himself and Nico found him and tried to help him. Do you remember that Nico was dressed for the gym? I don't think they would have asked Ace to train with them obviously, so I'm calling this is some sort of Chihiro situation where they went to train alone when no one was around and stumbled into Ace's (either framed or attempted) suicide.

And if Nico also touched it, I feel it would be more obvious that two people with bloody hands touched the button. Which makes me think that Nico actually didn't return to their room like Teruko speculated.

Episode Spoilers: Is this two chapters in a row with an attempted murder resulting in serious injury (and possibly leading to the actual murder)? Time to cross Nico off the list of maybe well adjusted characters (on the grounds of the fact that they apparently tried to kill Ace, not being non-binary). It is now down to David, Eden, Hu, J, Rose and Whit. Bold prediction time: Both Nico and Ace will survive this chapter (as if the group wasn't on enough of a knife edge already). I think something is not what it seems in the scene Eden and Teruko found. Firstly the fan is suspicious and secondly Nico's weapon was a laser pointer, not a wire. The person given the wire was Hu *Kill Bill sirens intensify*. I really think that not paying attention to a potential murder incident is a poor decision on the part of Teruko, is she that confident in her luck ensuring her survival through absolutely anything? Do not forget: Eden thought that someone was following her that night. I don't know what relevance that has but I think it's some. I feel like something's gotta give in the J v Arturo plot. One of them doesn't necessarily need to die but if I'm saying that Ace and Nico live... yeah I'm not fond of their chances. I wonder where everyone else is? I would have thought that this late most people would be in their rooms but only Levi came out (and the rooms are not well soundproofed remember). That leaves Arei, Arturo, Charles, David, Hu, J, Rose, Veronika and Whit unaccounted for.
