This is mind blowing. It’s incredible the kind of truths that men like Sinclair can continue to extrapolate out of the stories we know so well. I wouldn’t have figured this out if all I did was compare the story of the prodigal son to genesis for the rest of my life!

Thank you for this message! I’ve read the book by Ferguson and devoured it in a hunger pang. This brings to life what he wrote and prompts another round of thinking in my head and alertness in my daily walk. The subject matter is so elusive and hidden in every day conducts that an easy misstep could be made when one is not mindful even when one is willing to learn. Perhaps I just caught myself here that it is easy to forget: that it is not so much about being mindful of the steps than the whole Person of God. And to build a relationship with Him, rather than accolades of achievement in do’s and don’t’s. Yet, Ferguson was able to articulate and explain in ways that bridge the abstract and the application in normal daily activities and interaction. I am truly grateful for the teaching that brings us closer to the whole Christ. May God prosper the work of your hands and bless those who hear and take heed.

Law to you! (Or, wait, no.) Grace to you!
@michaelpaterson83552 жыл бұрын
Thank God for the law or else we wouldn't know that we are all sinful to the core and need saving and just as the law does its job of exposing us for who we are, so does the grace of God, but in Christ where we are new creations, even sons of God, not sinful but righteous to the core. 😇
@danielmorris47652 жыл бұрын
So I understand the sermon to mean in practical application, that if you demand someone obey God in order to be righteous, but don't give them the part where we can't be righteous, except he gives it to us by Faith through Grace, that is legalism.

I always thought that legalism was merely trying to earn your way to heaven by keeping the law (which we can’t do), thus denying the gospel, the cross and the grace of God.
@petruslourens4435 Жыл бұрын
So good.
@Psalm146-22 жыл бұрын
Legalism is trying to earn salvation, or contribute to your salvation, by keeping God’s law. We “try” to emulate the attributes of God - when we don’t emulate the attributes of God we sin. When we sin we ask for forgiveness and repent of that sin and we move on.

I teach total obedience to Him who is the total Truth of God , I am the only Way to God the only Truth of God the only Life of God no one comes to God the Father but through Me, and He said All power is given unto Me, go and make disciples of Me Baptising them in the name singular, of the Father of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Teaching them to comply with every command I have given to you , so He does teach His Apostles to teach, and He teaches that earthly Jerusalem with its earthly Priesthood will pass away , and we Christians will no longer worship there in John chapter 4v19-24

God new that touching makes the desire of the item more pronounced, more tempting just as when we go shopping and we can pick up the thing, the touch, the smell , the sensitory feel makes it more tempting, that is why the Lord wanted to protect them with that order: “do not touch”.
@ljjdcm Жыл бұрын
The Law is the strength of sin so emphasizing obedience to it does not lead to right living. Only beholding the glory of the Lord transforms us into His image. As He is, so are we in this world. The Law makes faith void.

Totally false. The heathen disobey the law and brag about it. No one can follow it but all truly converted are continually convicted by it. Not by some apparition of fantasy lol

[Leibniz's contingency argument for God, clarified]: Ten whole, rational numbers 0-9 and their geometric counterparts 0D-9D. 0 and it's geometric counterpart 0D are: 1) whole 2) rational 3) not-natural 4) necessary 1-9 and their geometric counterparts 1D-9D are: 1) whole 2) rational 3) natural 4) contingent Newton says since 0 and 0D are "not-natural" ✅ then they are also "not-necessary" 🚫. Newton also says since 1-9 and 1D-9D are "natural" ✅ then they are also "necessary" 🚫. This is called "conflating" and is repeated throughout Newton's Calculus/Physics/Geometry/Logic. con·flate verb combine (two or more texts, ideas, etc.) into one. Leibniz does not make these fundamental mistakes. Leibniz's "Monadology" 📚 is zero and it's geometric counterpart zero-dimensional space. 0D Monad (SNF) 1D Line (WNF) 2D Plane (EMF) 3D Volume (GF) We should all be learning Leibniz's Calculus/Physics/Geometry/Logic. Fibonacci sequence starts with 0 for a reason. The Fibonacci triangle is 0, 1, 2 (Not 1, 2, 3). Newton's 1D-4D "natural ✅ = necessary 🚫" universe is a contradiction. Natural does not mean necessary. Similar, yet different. Not-natural just means no spatial extension; zero size; exact location only. Necessary. Newtonian nonsense will never provide a Theory of Everything. Leibniz's Law of Sufficient Reason should be required reading 📚.....

Why is everyone in this class over 60? Is it a church class for senior citizens?
@markie64772 ай бұрын
Maybe because the young people aren't taught Gods word anymore in schools etc...and the media has bombarded people with the lie of evolution. Hence why so many young people and older have depression and anxiety issues, no purpose in life if evolution were true! Its not Christians that are being 'bashed' with indoctrination, its the general population! Oh that people would turn to Jesus Christ, for we are created to worship God and live to Him. Anything else is vanity and will not satisfy the human soul.

Forget all about all religious men, who claim to speak for God, even if these men are Moses the mediator of the Old Covenant, or Elijah , the One who was to come and prepare the way for the seed of David and the seed of Abraham, who is God manifest in the Flesh Saviour, but only listen to the One that God the Father said was His beloved Son who is His eternal delight, at His Baptism, and on the Mt of Transfiguration, He repeats this and says, This is my beloved Son in whom I am completely delighted, Hear Him, and all those who add to His words, or take from them will not eat of the tree of life, in Revelation chapter 22v19, so do not let sola scriptura, blind you to words of the author of Faith who is Eternal Life and God's Salvation who conceded that the Religious rulers did search the scriptures but they missed Him in them, in John chapter 5v39

@@carmensiekierke3579 If you are a person of understanding, you will love this: The US establishment is the beast. Reagan was the first king, Biden the 7th, Trump was the 6th and will be the 8th when he is deceptively resurrected by Mike Lindell. This is the end of the world, as we are NOW on the brink of the 5th world empire since Daniel. The two witnesses are the Last Adam and the Last Eve, as the first promise to the one who conquers is to eat of the tree of life in the paradise of God. He is King David (the name of the new Jerusalem), and the white stone (holy weapon) is obviously to slay the goliath of nations, the beast. He is the anointed of Jesus, just as Jesus was the anointed of the Father. He will conquer as Jesus conquered, and be given authority, as you know of the two witnesses. All of the 7 promises to the one who conquers are to him. Or don't you believe Jesus?
