Yes, it was a reference to the prison in Louisiana, hence the use of the word "bars". I've always wondered why they chose to name it Angola, so now I'll have to research it. I know they've locked up a lot of Black men at that prison. (Looked it up. Apparently the land was the site of a plantation and they named it Angola because a lot of the enslaved Africans and their descendants originated from there.)

All this talk about MF DOOM and not enough talk about Danger Mouse and Black Thought. Danger Mouse produced his heart out on this track, and this production is some of the best I've heard since Madvillain. Thought also played a big role and his flow is incredible. MF DOOM is as legendary as always but give the other guys their flowers too.

47 years young. Been rocking with DOOM since 'im (I) wanted to cop SubRoc's hairstyle. Both of their passings hit home, HARD. At least 'im 13 year old daughter can appreciate KMD/DOOM's excellence.
