Small ground feeding birds do need a bit more seed. Cockatiels, parakeets and parrotlets even finches and canaries. Should be offered a healthy food grade seed mix. Bird Tricks has a recipe for the one they use for their parakeet Blueberry.💙

Birds forage ALL DAY in the wild. Diet is everything to them! They’re intensely complex. I love it

Also: Birds are lactose intolerant! NO dairy, cheese, yogurt, etc..

I totally understand this but I do feed my birds dairy on a very rare occasion. That’s a personal choice I’m not offering them a glass of milk 😂 it’s not some thing that will kill them and there are dairy products that Fed minimally they can enjoy without it affecting them in a way that sends them to the vet.
