So I'm still in the middle of the video, but I think I can shine some light on why there are so many ideas what communism seems to be. First words have different meaning and so on and so on... But I guess most people would agree, that Marx is who made the most popular definitions, at least people tend to derive the idea from him. Marx actually made more definitions , because he wrote alot, but there are even from him at least one positive and one negetive definition. The negative being his imperativ, where he, simply said, defined communism as the absence or the strife of mankind for the absence of how we can and want to live and how we actually live now. The positive is how this goal is archieved, where he more or less believed that certing things will happen, the workers have to rebel because they can't only act so much against there interest. He was a great analytic, but he was and I guess never wanted to be a prophet he did not expect facism and I think the many defintions of communism come from adaptation of historical doctrine to a post-facism humanity. People imagining their utopia and call it communism, not reflecting on history while the negative defintion, which is still true is mostly forgotten: "Die Kritik der Religion endet mit der Lehre, dass der Mensch das höchste Wesen für den Menschen sei, also mit dem kategorischen Imperativ, alle Verhältnisse umzuwerfen, in denen der Mensch ein erniedrigtes, ein geknechtetes, ein verlassenes, ein verächtliches Wesen ist."

This is just to funny not you, but I was like why doesnt anyone have a pod cast that is not about Elon Musk and other famous people. And low and behold the exact name I wanted to use for my podcast, The regular people pod cast. I iwsh you the best man good luck.

Thanks! Yeah I ran into a similar problem a few years ago trying to start a different podcast. It's hard to come up with a good name that hasn't already been taken.

You are a smart guy, but your beliefs seem to follow a pattern...a left wing pattern. Take it from an older, wiser person. No matter what your political opinion is, it is correct. You seem to believe everything a young, college person with not much life experience would believe in. Veganism, communism, global warming, socialism, large government, dis-armed populace, atheism, etc. Now to be honest I agree with some of what you believe, but if you follow a particular political agenda based on your peer group and academia, you are not good at questioning what you have learned. My guess is as you get older, and see how the world really operates, you will figure out politics is nothing but bullshit and control of people who can't think for themselves, just like religion is, and that also goes for the right wing politicians too. You seem too smart to be this indoctrinated. You are smart enough to not fall for the religion con, but you fell for the left wing, political con. You are much too bright for that Wade. If you listened to the episode you would see that iIm not a communist. It's my friend Kaden, not me, who claims to be a communist. Also, i would recommend that you don't go around telling people that you're wiser than them. Age does not necessarily equal wisdom. Condescension usually detracts from a persuasive message, rather than enhancing it. Are you saying that you don't think global warming is real? Also, you can be a leftist (or left leaning) without having faith in the government. George Carlin is a perfect example of that. You can champion causes that are typically found on the left, without championing the government or democratic politicians.
