Travis Q depends on the regulations of the state. In some cases you are allowed to release invasive species in the same body of water you caught them in but you are required to report it.

I remember seeing this years ago and hearing how extensive the repercussions could be but never really thought much of it. Just last week I was at a friend's cottage fishing in Lake Erie here in Canada , and we saw more of these fuckers than we did bass. Our neighbour said he caught one recently and was given the green light to kill it. Real shame it's gotten this bad, there needs to be a bigger plan of action, or our greatlake ecosystems will be toast.

My Grandson is a chef at The Freighthouse restaurant in Paducah KY. They get these locally. They call them silverfish which is more pleasing to the Instead of saying flying carp.. He said they have a very good taste. And quite popular on the menu
