The cast away guy Jeremy was referring to that they happened upon, I've worked with that guy's brother before. He had apparently taken his boat out for the day as he would usually but wanted to find a new spot to fish at. He didn't take any gps or maps with him as he thought he had reasonable knowledge of the area, however became lost after losing his boat. He spent 3 or 4 days on this tiny island that literally had nothing on it, no trees, no animals just sand and rock. He eventually spotted some turtles and started to swim out to them to catch them, then Jeremy and his filming crew started cruising around the corner of this deserted island and saw this guy. Very fortunate.

The main thing I see wrong with fishing in TV and movies is that everything is usually too clean and organized. They'll have some kid who fishes every day at a local pond or whatever, and all his tackle looks like it was bought that morning. You never see anyone pull a tangled gob of lures out of a tackle box. You never see stuff that looks beat up and decades old.

This guy is so legendary if you didn’t watch or know the things he’s done it would sound like everything he’s said is bs 😂

Love Jeremy Wade. Many memories brought back by this. Also One flew over the cuckoos nest-love that book and that scene in the movie was well portrayed.

I'll tell you what jermery wade has helped me in my fishing I've seen every episode or river monsters watched so many interviews and listened to all his tip and tricks over the years and I have become a much better angler and it's brought so much happiness to me and my angling buddies. He changed our lives and don't even know it but it's important because we are the most anxiety ridden group of people and fishing does pretty much guarantee no anxiety attacks it's a nice break.

I’m a huge fisherman, and I always have been. Look at the name of my channel. I literally say one thing out of habit when I catch of fish. FISH ON!! I won’t say anything at all sometimes, but if I do, “fish on” is the only expression I use! Much love and respect to Jeremy Wade!

I’ve been trying to figure out how I want to give back to this amazing world we live in. Teaching fishing and how to respect the animals and environment has got to be it. Thank you for the inspiration. Fishing has given me a reason to stick around. It’s so peaceful and thrilling at the same time. Waiting for your crank bait to get slammed as you bring it in next to shore. Or waiting to see if your cut bait was pick up by a big flathead or a silly turtle. Kfns it gets better and there’s always bigger fish to catch and new people to share such an amazing experience.
