Dangerous Lorry U-Turn on Tyne Bridge!!! Newcastle / Gateshead

Some guy pulling a u turn on Tyne Bridge. He was heading from Gateshead into Newcastle but then suddenly changed his mind. Dangerous driving. Could have easily caused a crash or damage to the bridge. Especially when you can turn around safely using the round about just up the road!

You do all realise that he has seen the height restriction for lane 1 and has freaked out thinking that he wont fit under the bridge at all and therefore thinks the best thing to do is a U turn. He has misread the sign and has made a mistake, but please, enough of the dramatics! The traffic is moving slowly, the traffic holds back and allows the manoeuvre and he does it quickly and without any harm or damage, it literally held you up for about 15 seconds!

There was a warning for a low bridge on the sign so perhaps that was blocking his route ahead to get where he was going, still piss poor planning but far better than a bridge strike.

Thats just ridiculous. There's large roundabouts at both ends of the bridge to use. Nice capture :)

I work for the company in question and in its defence it was a driver from a work agency who was at the wheel at the time, a bad error of judgement on his behalf but rest assured we're not all like that

thats nowt i came across last week and a police car had pulled someone over and he blocked the left lane coming from the gateshead side, traffic was nose to tail all the way down the felling bypass and round the gateshead roundabout stoopid or what?

you just don't do that on the Tyne Bridge' For how busy the bridge always is he may as well be doing it on a motorway
