Writing this about 2 weeks after he died - I was at this CIS lunch. God I'm going to miss him. The wit, the intellect, the ability to boil complicated issues down to a single (very funny) sentence, & above all the wisdom to know that it"s all bulls**t, managed by fools, & that the only sensible response is to laugh at them. I didn't agree with him on everything (I like our compulsory voting system), but probably 90% of things. But I say again: God I'm going to miss him. I have most of his books, so he lives on thru them - but it's not the same: the world is a lesser place without him. R.I.P. PJ, you were one of a kind.

He sure figured Trump out before the 2016 election, Trump is a middle finger pointed at the entire American establishment. I like PJ O'Rourke a lot.
