This is just next level hike, super adventurous and show your courage. Not for everyone... and those backpacks wow! I loved you really took the time to engage with the local guys on the way, sharing frequent updates and showed how incredible the nature is there. I'm saving this as "to-do" for my time in Nepal. No guide also requires a lot of courage as who knows if you can get lost haha. Really admire what you guys are doing! Will - your local t-shirts are amazing haha. Donkeys, bridges, waterfalls, taking shower on the way, sunset, 7 hours 5 mins and 13.5km. Wow. I felt there with you. Keep it up guys, excited to see what's next! :)

We love chatting with the locals. Everyone on the hike was so friendly. We managed pretty well without a guide to lead us or tell us the right time to stop. Also did well without a porter to carry our bags. Big time physical test, but so worth it. Thanks Ale!!

Congratulations on your first hiking experience in Nepal, I must say its not easy walking here on these terrains. But the entire experience is totally incredible walking in the open nature around you meeting local people,

The snow capped mountain in the distance was so beautiful!! We cannot believe you guys did this with 20 pound backpacks. We can barely walk from the train station to our hotel with ours on!! Keep killing it guys! 🎉

I am a bit too late to watch your trek videos. Great job guys! It's not easy to travel or trek in Nepal. High level of spirit is required to get past the physical tiredness and to some extent mental exhaustion. I first watched the Lantang trek vlogs from Herald and I was mesmerized. Even though I am from Nepal, I have never done any trekking at all but once I get home from Canada, Lantang will be my first trek for sure! Ok off to the next vlog in this series.

I'm going to trek Langtang this December without a guide. Is it possible to lost my way during the hike?
@WITYTRAVELS Жыл бұрын
We went right before a guide was mandatory. Not sure the situation now. You can't get lost but I think you can waste time if you go the wrong way.

I'm sure Harold Balder went the wrong way to start with based on some out of date directions given to him by Gabriel Traveler - at least you guys didn't make that mistake! Love the bridges, my favourite has to be the good old fashioned stick bridge. Haha to the lemmings content - that's exactly what it looked like! Super Snickers saves the day again - always important to keep blood sugar levels high during a hike. It's amazing how many calories you burn through. Wonderful scenery already, well documented.
@WITYTRAVELS Жыл бұрын
Yea, when Harald went there was some landslides blocking him, but those seem to be all cleared up now. Stick bridge was definitely the most unique! Snickers were completely sustaining us for the hike. Thanks Matt!

@@WITYTRAVELS It's actually an unwritten rule when hiking to carry an emergency chocolate bar, you never know when you're going to need it!

Hey 👋🏻 there y'all. You're doing great in Nepal. I have watched up to the point where you were drinking some tea at one of the tea houses along the trail. Funny twiggy bridge for Katy. I'll watch the rest when I'm more freed up. Keep growing stronger 💪🏼 in Amazing Nepal 🇳🇵

The Langtang trek is dangerous in the same way that cycling across a field is dangerous.. i.e. it isn't! 😄 Btw, did you do this after the April 2023, and the no-guide ban?

Did you do this trip before April 2023? Because as of April 2023 solo or FIT trekking is banned in Nepal(except in Everest Region) ...It has been made mandatory for trekkers to trek with a licensed guide..ntb.gov.np/en/latest-travel-updates
