On top of the world , among misty clouds. Listen to Isabell reasoning visiting the village to support the people at their loss. What a kind soul. She never cease to amaze me. Listen to thomas asking the natives friendly tactful questions. Now, you tell me, why i like the brits so much.

Thank you for taking us along your trip here. This brought back some memories for my wife and I and was also quite emotional. We did a 7 day walk up langtang valley to a 4900m mountain at the end (can’t remember the name) 2 weeks before the earthquake :( I remember seeing the bbc fly in to the valley by helicopter on the news when we got home, absolutely heartbreaking thinking of all the lovely, kind people we met. The mountains at the end of the valley are incredible and it is so good to see that things are finally being rebuilt. Enjoy the rest of your trip through Nepal, that country has a kind of magic about it 😊

April 30, 2023: Oh the song playing while you were crossing the bridge is beautiful. Hopefully, it is in your information on who sings it. Just beautiful and with your hiking through the valley. Isabele, you are very strong through so many demanding trails to the Step mountains. The great accomplishment also is that Tom tells you about the long bridges over the waters. Surprisingly the tea is not in the pack to enjoy also. I just can not imagine the different flavors. How splendid to stay with the siblings at different stops. As always so appreciate the history. What an eery feeling it must have been to walk across where the avalanche buried so many. May they rest in peace.

Just a quick suggestion if you want to hike to a more heavenly picturesque place, try Rara lake. It's the largest lake of the country with tall snow-filled peaks right beside it. Take a flight from KTM to Surkhet, Karnali Province and take a bus to Chandannath and go on a hike to the lake. You won't regret it. I can guarantee your best moments in Asia.

Doing it right kids: Early starts and no more than 500m ascent per day. gives you time for little excursions higher so you can descend & sleep more easily. Keep well hydrated too.

The scenery looks amazing.

WOW loving the scenery, once again what a beautiful country, very humbling environment, these VLOGs are amazing and once again informative, well narrated and very well edited 🙂 Couple of questions: do you regularly fill your water bottles from the rivers or streams and have you not found any edible mushrooms yet 🍄
@LostInTransit2 жыл бұрын
Couple of answers for you: I wouldn’t risk eating any mushrooms here they might all be a bit different to back home. We do get given some foraged mushrooms in the next episode and they are super tasty. Water wise no water in Nepal should be drank by tourists without treating apparently, we have lifestraws, and they are amazing, they filter the water as you drink and we have never had a problem. We nearly always fill up from taps, but honestly I think in the mountains the tap water just comes from the river any way

You probably could drink a lot of that fast running water, but it's not worth the risk when you've also got the altitude to contend with.
