During his time people thought similarly of Al Jolson. I enjoy Jolson’s music but when watching him on video I can’t see him as “The World’s Greatest Entertainer. Times certainly have change! Mr Jackson crafted an absolutely unique performance style and dominated the music industry. I often think of what he might have accomplished had he not passed away at such a young age.

Yeah, as a touring musician at one point in my life I can say that it definitely is just work. You're putting on a show. A lot of performers have fun with it though. Change things up. The danger in that is if you change things up too much people don't like it because they're paying to see and hear their favorites. Becomes more of a problem with nostalgia acts. I always feel sorry for the bands/performers who have only a couple of hits, and all through the set people are just screaming to hear the good stuff over and over, they could not care less about any other songs, even if they're amazing performances.
@profe33305 ай бұрын
@@jokerzwild00 I can totally see that, and you describe the problem really well.. This weird pressure to be simultaneously new/exciting and recognizable/reassuring is is on writers and artists too. When you feel the music, it never gets boring. Mike created tons of memorable hits that you never get tired of hearing or dancing to. The seed of deceiving goes deep, we`re deceived. People always told me, be careful what you do. Don`t go around believing all lies. And mother always told me, be careful who you love, be careful who you trust, cause not everyone is friend. The devil is not your friend, he does his best to drag your soul to hell. (don´t go there, don't go there) Find the truth and free your soul, from his lies. Devil said, I am the one, but his lies not standing strong. For forty days and forty nights the lies were on, who could question when lies sound like the truth. Cause the lies sounded too good, so these shadowed the truth from our ears. So take my strong advice, and remember to always think twice (do think twice, do think twice) Devil told, we`re here till three as he looked at me, Then show a photo where next stop will be. who could question when lies sound like the truth and seed of deceiving goes deep, we`re deceived. People always told me, be careful what you do. Don`t go around believing all lies. But whence the lies stood right at me, how could I refuse? Not to believe all those, as these sound so good. The devil is not your friend, he does his best to drag your soul to hell. (don´t go there, don't go there) Find the truth and free your soul, from his lies. during the This Is It rehearsal, Michael kinda resembles that one cool uncle that knows how to dance, and is really really good at it, and always makes the family get togethers more fun

For instance, he started out with so much fire and freshness and everyone absolutely loved him. Albeit, I suppose that things such as being in an extraordinary position of influence on a global cultural stage will inevitably come to a curious end.
