Besides, people these days push this idea of "it's their body. Let them do what they want with it". And if you poke fun at anything about their body, it's a crime. In an interview, when asked about his surgeries, Michael stated that he only had two out of his entire life. Not that it's anyone's business, but I know he had more than two. He also said "I can remember having two," which means that he might've been unable to even remember all the other times he had gotten surgery. In a book(I think it was in Jermaine's book), Michael looked in the mirror and looked shocked and said something along the lines of "What have I done to myself?" So he might've been hypnotized or something of the sort. I mean, he was always handsome to me...but it's possible that he was not mentally or physically aware of what he was doing regarding the surgeries.

Michael’s skin color is the main reason why everyone thinks he went crazy with surgery. For some reason they ignore that he could not control his vitiligo. Ofcourse he had 4-5 nose procedures but he was trying to find what suited his face. By the time he did, his nose was already weak from lupus and the other 3 procedures. Michael was always handsome, just certain circumstances like his scalp injury, lupus, and vitiligo forced him to change. As far as cosmetic surgery, he still looked great. Aging plus pre-existing health issues made it harder for him.

Dee Jay His grandfather had vitiligo on his hand. It skipped Joseph and only Michael got that gene. His form was the aggressive universalis kind. It can spread over the entire body within a matter of years and for him it took about 8 plus the treatments he did to even out blotches. It was really obvious on his chest during off the wall but it spread after thriller and lightened certain parts of him during Bad. Michael hid it with makeup but it was everywhere. His lupus did a number on his skin and nose also.
@kate_m_k883 жыл бұрын
@@TheGossipGyal “only Michael inherited that gene” is not accurate, my friend. Jermaine has spoken several times about him having it as well, but only in a small area, whereas Michael’s was progressing aggressively; it was a specific form of Vitiligo that affects the entire body, as you mentioned, yes. Joseph’s aunt, I believe it was, also had Vitiligo, and Prince inherited it, as well. All in all, Vitiligo is most definitely inherited in the Jackson family.

The story about initially breaking his nose during rehearsal was made up. Apparently in 78/79 Michael would mention getting plastic surgery to reduce the size of his nose partly due to the "big nose" nickname and derogatory comments from Joe and some fans about how he wasn't cute anymore. He also started looking a lot like his father and this distressed him further. Only problem is, he was terrified of going under the knife, and couldn't bring himself to do it for ages. Until one day he just said he'd had enough and disappeared, left Hayvenhurst without really saying where he was going. And when he came back he had tape on his nose and stayed in his room alot till it healed. He was initially happy with the result as seen in his confidence in those 1979 music videos, but after a while felt it was still too big...

I still see the little Michael when he smiles. You can tell the difference is not that much. It looks dramatic only because of vitiligo, ageing & different hairstyles. If you google before & after of any celebrity you can notice a huge difference but nobody talks about them but him cause of course he is Michael Jackson. People expected him to look like the same 25 years old thriller’s Michael at the age of 40/50 like how? *Though he maintained his body n himself very well I must say he never looked old even at the age of 50 he was looking like a 35 year old man.

Like many others around the world, I was worried about whether Michael could still dance at 50, and I was saddened and depressed by his passing. But when I saw ‘This Is It’ on its opening day in theaters, I was shocked. As you said, he didn’t look 50 at all and remained a genius. His creative spirit returned, and the footage from two days before his death showed his final energy being unleashed-it was all divine. Even 15 years later, it’s amazing that there are still so many comments. Many people became fans after seeing him dance at 50.

I'm shore body dysmorphia and anxiety played a part in his multiple nose jobs; but I also believe the Lupus played a "big" part in his surgeries too. Not just on the nose jobs but also the attempt to stretch the skin to cover his scalp. It seams that all the attempts to fix the issues didn't work because of the lupus and why the nose jobs in particular keep getting worse to the point that he couldn't use his nostrils to breath anymore. "Thankfully" the restoration to his nose in his later years was a successes; looking better then it had been. Though it begs the question; if Michael "never" had lupus would he of gotten "as many" nose jobs as he did?

There's a small handful of pictures of Michael from 1979 that show that the result of his first nose job was not his "Off the Wall" look, but something in between. Thinner nostrils, but still the same wide bridge. The breathing issues from that made him get a second procedure, and THAT was the look he had from 1979-1983. You also neglected the scleral show (surgery on his eyes to make them bigger) in 1982 (if you look at the alternate photos for the Thriller cover, you can see that his face, from different angles, is still somewhere between his "Off the Wall" look, and his his "Thriller" look). Another thing, if you look closely during the beginning of the Thriller video (before he turns into a werewolf), Michael had another simple procedure to make his nose smaller. It must've been the last thing they filmed, as it doesn't look like that in the "making of" video, when we see them applying the werewolf prosthetics to his face. Also, some time in 1984, before the Victory tour, Michael not only had a chin implant that made his face longer, but he had something done to his lips to make them look thinner. Any high-res photos of his face will show that. Sometime in 1985, after "We Are the World", but before filming "Captain EO", Michael had another procedure done to his lips which gave him that "lizard smile" look that he had during the "Bad" era. The only procedure I can't seem to figure out is, he had something done that made his overall face look longer sometime between shooting the "Bad" video in 1986, and before the album was released in 1987, as you can tell the overall shape of his face is still round 9or relaly, more "square" than it was before then), but by 1987, it appeared more "oval". Other than that, the jury is still out on if he had cheekbone implants, or they were just more prominent from weight loss.

I wonder if Michael's top lip area was paralyzed due to poor work done on his nose. Maybe the cause of that lizard smile
