IIRC it overwrites what's there with the actual content of the island, but I haven't tried it. Usually you would only expand an island into the "territory" of another island in a one-island challenge.

Anything that the newly bought land overlaps will just break whatever is built there, and the resources for those things will drop (rafts, buildings on rafts, landfill, ect.)

If you make animal food at the mill, you can click on animals to get them to drop resources, if you feed a cow, it'll poop out poop, and lots with all those lighthouses. Feeding chickens gives eggs, sheep give cotton? Should be wool, but whatever, used to make the string. Edit: And later in the video he does feed the animals, ohh well, going to leave the info incase someone needs it.

Dangerously funny, tip, you can destroy the shops and replace them to renew the shop instantly, you can use this to buy multiple robots, I did this and in 25 mins I got up to 5 droids

I did a thing in this game. I took the necro rod and the endless rod ability to spam a ridiculous number of skeletons on an island so they couldn't move. Then I used the demon bow to one-hit KO all of them at once. My PC really didn't like that. Give it a shot ^~^

When farming for eggs, golden eggs and poop, make 2 animal lures at the windmill place them on either side of a large bare area, use the druid scroll to place resources in all available spaces, and then the wizard scroll to turn those into animals. They will funnel off to the lures and stack there, repeat once they're out of the way (to maximize available spaces) a couple times and you'll have lots in no time flat, plus can be sped up by adding food after

Small addition to this DF, shrines are actually affected by power stations and will recharge twice as fast if you put them nearby, probably a bit pointless with how many you can make but if you ever make a new idea without infinite resources, its a good way to jump ahead with shrines

There's a shrine exploit btw. Build a shrine, get the buff and pick the shrine up, then build it again, it's instantly refreshed. Also the resources to build it starts increasing after a few times and since you always get enough resources back to build another one you can get as much crystal, royal steel and bricks as you want.

If you're tired of waiting to make bricks, or even royal steel, find a structure that takes a lot of said resource to build, get the build buff from the shrine and then build as many as you can. Then wait for the buff to end and break all of said structures. Rinse and repeat for the laziest way to make stuff P.S: You have to wait until the build buff ends before destroying a structure or else you only get refunded the current cost to build said structure. Having a small production facility on the side that you operate in the downtime for extra resources might help a bit too, especially early on.

So, you don't have to wait for offshore drills most of the time. Just upgrade to the robotic shovel (which does require a few electronics, hence a few plastics from drills), then dig up plastic directly. Even without lighthouses it's still faster.

you need to get the special digging areas that give extra loot in the middle of those lighthouses. Also, the place you like to dig at should be made into an island the size of the shovel, with a bridge to the main island, and more lighthouses to the south, on either side of the bridge

I love that this game lets you do crazy stuff like this. I am seeing how far I get using 2 islands and nothing but markets. Takes an age because even with 7 of them I have been waiting on bottled bugs for like a millennia & selling stuff is sloooow when you don't have much harvesting going on, but seeing if it's possible is fun. Love the lighthouse trick, might need to put a few around the edge of island 2 & sell sand for the chips I need.

lazyeye_, the programmer of Forager, explained in a Devstream why getting such low numbers is logical As in every game, there's a logical number cap for any sort of resource that's high enough to usually never be reached. According to Google, that one should be 2147483647. Once that number is reached, in order to not crash, the game loops around and starts from 0. So you effectively got more than that on multiple resources

The market sometimes sells a blue orb that lets you choose between more health, a lvl up and more damage, built a lot of markets to try farming/ buying these orbs, there is a way to sacrifice a heart to get something in return

Now my challenge for you, power plants speedup shrines too, maybe even fish traps, try surrounding 1 of each with power plants and see how low you can bring the cooldown on the shrines and fish trap.

you actually can build something like lighthouse, when you have builder buff, then wait till it went off, then break this building and get resources needed to build this lighthouse WITHOUT BUFF, then just apply this buff again and build a structure again with leftover materials, so basically, infinite lighthouses.

There seems to be an exploit with shrines. you can destroy them and rebuild them to reset the wait time and keep tying until you get the speed-up benefit. Destroying them doesn't even get rid of the perk it just gave you.
