You can just hold down left click on tree or rock to harvest, it allows you to look around while you manually harvest since as long as the mouse button is held, it'll continue to harvest. The saw mills can't handle more than 1 wood chopper, in fact, 1 wood chipper might be able to do multiple sawmills but I got bored of the demo before doing that type of testing. Once you get enough upgrades it becomes very easy to win. My advice on towers is, acorn towers, fastest enemy (good vs. wasps), Ballista, highest Armour, Shield & Health (good vs. crabs and orc), Catapult, a mixture of front of queue, back of queue and highest armour/highest health. You want each catapult to be hitting different areas. Spike tower, Power Crystal, highest armour, shield & health + keep target! Lastly, starting resources (wood & stone) is by far the best upgrade, it allows you to get into setting up resource gathering significantly faster at the start of the game. It's possible to be rocking ballista by the end of day 1 and catapult by end of day 2 if you get a good start with starting resources.

It's 2 woodchoppers per plank sawmill, and 1.5 woodchoppers per stake sawmill. 1.5 rock miners per normal-bricks, too. When you click on the buildings (in not-build-mode), it shows the rate of production & consumption.

Raise your tower limit and spam cats. You lost that last game because you didn't have enough AOE. Also, you need to set some of your ballista/acorn cannons to prioritize the fastest enemy for the wasps. Once you start getting more big boys, the laser tower is super good, especially on a range obelisk.
