I will say, it seems as though SM64 hacks are a little behind in trolls compared to MM2 levels, like they aren't that far behind but I see far more trolls which are kinda just impossible to react to and require nothing but execution to overcome, which is a relic of trolling that MM2 trolls have pretty much overcome

It should be possible to create a rom hack that can detect if you're using save states. I want to see one now that calls you out at the end if you've done it and makes you start over. That said I wouldn't play this without save states either.

As a rare time streamer playing Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda rom hacks and using emulators, sometimes savestates are required to make the entertainment less monotonous and more fluid to the viewer (in terms of not getting bored). People came in and heavily criticized me of using them and adopted hate speech on me for that. Like, just get it together guys. 😂 It's just a game, after all. I won't ever blame you for using them. 😉
