@@Savariable by resource crisis I think they mean that usually if you go to him to ask for some quick resources, he mostly has them, and rarely doesn't lack any. The session 1 food grind is just natural given the fact that passive mobs don't spawn.

Scott and Martin having little bases underwater is actually op tho, they can swim down there when they're chased and build a tunnel towards mainland They can also block the entrance off when they're inside and it's harder cause they're underwater, oh and they can build traps too, surrounding the entrance with trapped pufferfish or magma blocks

If you're going to make one block tall tunnels, I would suggest using some sort of block pattern to let you know which direction your facing in case you panic and forget in an emergency. Perhaps just at random intervals. For instance, every ten blocks having a granite and diorite block. The granite would be in the direction of the isles, and the diorite toward the destination. It could be on the wall, floor, or ceiling.

Hey Scott, there's a really good alternative to coal that's entirely renewable since you're in the ocean. Dried kelp blocks last just about as long as coal blocks, and they're super easy to make! This means more coal towards torches, and a nigh infinite source of fuel for furnaces!
