in fairness to skizz, if you actually look up pictures of giraffes a lot of them are genuinely closer to his color palette than the cartoonish bright yellow and dark brown used in most media... that being said, the cartoonish yellow is obviously the correct choice in a style as simplistic as minecraft to avoid your creature looking like a horrific flesh golem.

I too thought giraffes are yellow, then I googled it, and turns out between the spots they're pretty pale, with only slight yellowish hue. I think the takeaway is that if you want to communicate through low-detail pictures, you have to exaggerate traits people will recognize, and giraffe being yellow is one of them.

In defense of Skizz, real giraffes are in fact an off-white sandy color with brown spots, not yellow. It just doesn't translate well with the flesh tone (White terracotta) being so close to the pale brown he used.

Obviously, Skizz should have made the 🦒 yellow because that is the recognizable color palette, BUT in his defense, a real giraffe is much closer to his chosen color. But the brown spots cover much more of their bodies.

I have heard about this giraffe all week. It did not disappoint. I doubt think I’ve ever heard grian almost die laughing like that. I know it can be discouraging to not be the best (you have improved), but you bring so much joy with your builds regardless. Minimalist Etho taught us all you don’t need a lot of blocks and details to get your point across.
