Hey, thanks. Makes my day to read this. Not my most popular video, but for those like me stuck with this broken tee, it was a lifesaver way to not have to remove the whole assembly. Sadly this truck was involved in an awful roll over accident and demolished last year. Thankfully my daughter wasn’t seriously hurt.

It really works on my Mazda 2003 B2300 Two things that I would like to add , To break the old tee hose connector I used a 3” C clamp it makes the job easy also I recommend to use a ratchet to tie the bolts on the clamps I first used a flat screw driver and noticed that after to put the Coolant it was leaking a little and then I used a ratchet with a large extension to help to tight those bolts and I was able to stop the leaking ! Thank you again !

Great video! The “Htr Hose Tee” broke which caused a coolant leak. I watched this video and fixed the problem with the method you showed in this video!!🎉 D.I.Y Tip -My vehicle: 02 Ford Ranger 2.3L, manual transmission, 2wd) -Total Time:30 mins -Cost or fix: $7 -Difficulty: 5(Scale 1-10) -I was able to remove the Broke “Tee” along with removing the broken off piece in Hose WITHOUT REMOVING ANY HOSES OR WHEEL(Turning the wheel gives you just enough room to reach it)! Hope this helps you guys!

I'm not exactly sure for your year. If you can measure the hoses themselves, then subtract about 1/4" you should be close...

Not really. You could jack up the car which would give you more room to try and work over the top of the tire.

awesome fix. probably going with spring clamps. they're faster and with the tool. i think will be easier than screw/worm clamps in that hole. my little ranger... it's has made me swear off fords and i've only had it a week monday. had a 96 that was the picture of reliability. got crazy ideas and sold it and got a malibu. in hindsight, that was a mistake. i would like to know the genius that thought this setup was a good idea. in fact, why on earth would they heat cycle plastic like that? i'm going to get that fitting for sure and rig it. it wouldn't be right to not rig, that seems to be the norm i'm finding.

Yah, I swore off Fords a while back myself, but ended up getting a 2013 C-Max Energi with it's plug-in hybrid battery. We drive around most of the time just on the 20 miles of range it has. So far it seams better than my past Ford experiences, but at about 10 years, the plastics start to fail on Fords, so it is about time for those issues to pop up. We will see!

Sorry to say I don't have a video on that one. Sadly this truck was totalled in a terrible accident and barrel rolled to a stop. Passengers are ok thankfully! 🙏

While the 3.0 Ranger engine isn't as "snaked around", the 2 heater hoses each have a Tee-fitting of a size that's hard-as-heck/impossible to find--it's 5/8" straight-thru, with 1/4" side-branch--you can find 5/8" x 5/8" x 3/8" all day long... and you end up forcing the 1/4" hoses (to the intake manifold) onto 3/8" fittings... or buying the all-new spendy pre-formed heater hoses. Next time I'm just DELETING the side-loops... "pre-heating" the intake manifold, in FLORIDA, is just lol...

@@DansWay GREAT little trucks, whether "badged" as Ford or Mazda, but that same 3.0 engine was also used in FRONT-wheel-drive platforms like the Taurus, etc. so some things you curse on the B3000 are easy to get to on a sedan, and vice-versa. Similar story with your 2.5L engine... Anyway, you're doing a great public service with your video--kudos!

Did you use an entire new hose assembly or did you re use it?

The original hose was reused (the one going around the back side of the engine and over the transmission). The shorter lengths going up and to the front could have been replaced at that time but I didn’t have the materials or time to make that change.

Mine leaks at the T by the exhaust manifold I'm just going to cut it out some how

@@DansWay I did I cheated but I did get it fixed mine was metal and it leaked at the T from the over flow tank so I cut it at the bend that went behind the head I had to use my plasma cutter because I couldn't get my hand in there with anything I added a brass fitting T ran the hose over the heater box A/C hoses worked out great wasn't easy took all day hard on my knees because I had to stradle the motor I still can't imagine replacing the tube for sure you'd have to remove the exhaust I mite consider it if I replace the clutch
