Three years ago I had a similar experience teaching music to a group of kids in Mamelodi township outside of Pretoria. I still think of them every day and thank God for all that they taught me. What a blessing we have received. Thank you for sharing.

I don't usually comment on videos, but Dani, I just wanted to let you know that this video is so precious!!! All the songs you sing have so much meaning and emotion!! I am so happy I found you on youtube and have been able to see what a huge difference you are making. I've been singing since I was really small but since I have become an adult I have lost that desire to share it... My mother and I used to go to different churches and we would sing to almost 200 people at a time and it brought us such joy! We praised the Lord and we sang with our soul, it was so powerful. When I turned 14, our lives changed completely when we had been evicted from the home we were living in and had to get rid of almost everything we owned to move across the country. After moving we didn't sing in churches or share our gift. I wanted to share what we have but it was difficult for us because where we moved, our music is considered irreverent. Now, seeing how brave you are, seeing that you are unstoppable inspires me to be braver and to do all I can to share our music and to be hopefully inspire others as you have inspired me!! Thank you so much for your gift Dani! You are truly blessed!!!

Oh gosh, I can understand how you felt when you had to leave so much. I've been volunteering in Asia a couple of times and actually it's a very selfish thing to do. You go to a place, meet all these amazing children, pop into their lives and suddenly fall out of it again and leave with broken hearts. But at the same time it teaches you so much and it's just a wonderful experience.
