Hyundai is the first company to make use of sound in motorsport. Love it or hate it, sound is the best way to know how much power is going to the tires. People who say just look at the screen don’t know what its like driving at the limit.

I'm sorry but I have to dissagree. You can get a sense of speed and the limits of the vehicle without engine sound. You're perspective is the traditional way of thinking. With EV's your senses are hieghtend and more connected to the sounds of, tires, brakes and suspension. Those are vital car components that can allow you to reach limits.

@FromWhereICharge So do you think you lmr da better driver than Dani Sordo? That car is 'TA' version and if Dani wanted, then that virtual engine sound would have been cut off. Most of the professional drivers drove the EV w/ sound, loved and told it helped.

@@johnnysteel5207 Dani didn’t have a choice to turn off the sound. 1. PPHC requires all electric cars to make a 120db sound for safety. 2. The sound is a marketing campaign by Hyundai in attempt to transition customers who drive combustion vehicles to adopt electric.

@@colinbowman8816 BMS, and motor control algorythm with Field weaking control through 2 stage inverter. Also integrated with NCM9 batteries which is most technologically advanced battery in the world. Ioninq 5N can withstand 0.6G regenerative breaking. No other makers can even mimic that. Acutally all other makers can't mimic ionic 5N with all I listed above except battery integration. Because what I heard from rumor is that there are other makers wich are planning to buy NCM9 battery from company SK on.

According to rule book EV vehicles must equipped with audio system which sounds warning minimum 120 decibels. There are no rule about what warning sound must be used. So hyundai used fake engine sound. If you want use some euro beat can be a good idea.

Cause the intrinsic simulation engine sound of I5N is almost loud enough. Other EVs don't have any so they should've attached borrowed sirens.

God the Hyundai Ioniq 5N TA sounds like a friggin ford transit van inside!!!! A big tin can box of loose bolts!!!! Surely Hyundai could make a more sleeker aerodynamic EV hillclimb special car that this???? Sounded like it was falling to pieces, breaking up, near the top. What races has it won?
