Nice content sis. Back in the days my best soup used to be ewedu soup. The way my late mum used to prepare it is quite different. We add ewedu leaf together with ogbono.We don't use broom, we chop the leaf into small pieces with knife and add it to ogbono soup. It is very delicious and goes well with fufu.

Wowww, that's another interesting way to make ewedu, I didn't know it could be made with ogbono

That broom is also one of the reasons I haven't tasted amala and ewedu. Then I have a neighbor during service that will always take spoiled yam I cut to throw away to dry for amala. So I always remember and it makes me just go for the regular soups and swallow that I am used to

@temitopeoyegbade8233 Жыл бұрын
The broom is called IJABE. it's not used for any other things, other than to break ewedu till smooth.
@folakemiolawole9419 Жыл бұрын
The broom is just one of the kitchen apparatus , it's only meant for the kitchen , also about the spoilt yam , it may that she is very poor or you misunderstood her, she might see that you peel a lot yam with the skin , and she sees it as wastage , some people are very extreme when it's come to wastage , thereby collecting it and putting it into use .No one can use spoilt yam for amala , it will spoil the taste of the finish product..

There's special broom for Ewedu now! Every culture is unique. You find it difficult because it is not part of your culture that you are brought up with. It happens.....
@oluwatoyinuduokhai79923 ай бұрын
Let's celebrate our individual culture and arts of living. Before the advent of affordable cookwares and kitchen utensils our forefathers prepared their meals in the most organic and hygienic lifestyles. Little wonder they grow and live to 100 years and above before passing to glory. Note that broom was their blender and is always a new broom from the palm tree. They cut a full long broom short size to get it thick strong part for culinary uses. So is healthy using the broom. Observe also moinmoin with leaves are usually delicious than ceramic bowl, tin, aluminum pan, cellophane bag that's bread nylon. So let's appreciate our Africa mothers and their care for us. God bless Africa

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. John 3:16 If you are yet be saved please make this confession. Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I confess and repent of my sins. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I give myself to you in Jesus name. Amen Welcome into the family of God.
