We continue in our verse by verse Bible study through the Book of Daniel on Sunday Mornings with Pastor Gino Geraci at Calvary South Denver in Littleton CO. This week we look at Daniel 11:12-20 in a sermon called “The Kings Of Syria And Egypt.”

SUPERB explanation of this part of Dan 11. For those who know about the histories of Egypt and Syria during the 3rd - 2nd centuries BC this chapter is not "difficult" to understand.

No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. The 11th chapter of the book of Daniel is not a departure from the prophetic chain fround in that which is taught in the 2nd, the 7th, and the 8th chapters. After this I saw in the night visions, and behold *a fourth beast* [Pagan Rome] dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another *little horn* before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the *eyes of man* and a mouth speaking great things. {Daniel 7:7-8} ... Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be *the fourth kingdom* upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns *out of this kingdom* are ten kings that shall arise: and another [Papal Rome] shall rise *after* them; and he shall be diverse (claiming authority over church and state craft; the spiritual sword and the temporal sword) from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. (The Heruli 493 A.D.; The Vandals 534 A.D.; The Ostrogoths 538 A.D.) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and *think to change times and laws* and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. (Same dispensation of the time of the Gentiles; and the time of the two witnesses.) But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away *his* dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. {Daniel 7:23-26}

I never ever heard anyone preaching over Daniel 11 so detailed. That's what I believe, too. Daniel 11 is about the seleucian and the ptolomaic kings, ending up into Antioch IV. Epiphany and the last antichrist, who is yet to come. And this last king of the north in Daniel 11, 36 to 45, that is this one king, of whom Revelation 17, 11 says: "And the beast, that was and is not now, is also an eighth and he is one of the seven and goes into destruction." The beast, that was and is not now and will rise in the future out of the abyss and go into destruction (Revelation 17, 8) is the male goat of Daniel 8, to be more specific, the little horn, which rises out of one of the four notable horns. But the male goat represents the kings of Jawan, so to say the kings of Greece. NOT OF ROME!!! ^^ "The beast, you have seen, that was and is not now and will rise out of the abyss and will go into destruction." Revelation 17,8 From John's perspective the Roman Empire was in charge, when the angel explained him the vision about the harlot and the beast. So the Roman Empire cannot be that antichrist beast at all, because the angel said, that the beast was and is not now (in present days of John). This is overlooked in most endtime teachings all over the last 100 years at least.^^

Why did John write the book of Revelation? and Daniel echoes what he saw, as well?
