Honestly Paul you are amazing thank you for helping me understand the Bible and get excited reading it. I sit and read scripture first and think about what it means and how it relates in today's society then listen to you. I sit there and I'm like "oh my gosh, oh I get it, oh my word that's so true" it makes me laugh. You help me so much to get what I'm reading you are truly blessed thank you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Thank you for preaching the Word, Pastor Paul! I attend a local church with my family and we are blessed by our local pastor shepherding us. I have been listening to this Daniel series during the weekdays while I work around the home and my young kids are in and out of the room listening, too. We have all benefited from hearing these sermons while we go about our day!

Every time my bible opens to Daniel I know it’s something serious! When I just started reading my bible on my own and Daniel came up I’d feel so terrified n confused. You explained it better then anyone I heard before. Thank you again🙏🏼💖

I read through this chapter, and got so frustrated! I just don't understand all the symbolism and don't know enough about world history....but then you, Pastor Paul read and explained, and taught me the meaning. I became excited. I looked up history, cross referencing to the Bible and chapter 8 in the book of Daniel... I love how this puzzle DOES all fit together, and how scriptures can prepare me for the future! - Great chapter!! Wow!

Daniel 8 is commonly quoted as referring to Antiochus Epiphanes, however, when reading this chapter as the Unites States attack on Iran and the subsequent rise of the Anti-Christ does this chapter start to really make sense.

I have the NLT. In verses 10 through 12, it says the "Its power reached to the heavens, where it attacked the heavenly army, throwing some of the heavenly beings and some of the stars to the ground and trampling them. It even challenged the Commander of heaven’s army by canceling the daily sacrifices offered to him and by destroying his Temple. The army of heaven was restrained from responding to this rebellion. So the daily sacrifice was halted, and truth was overthrown. The horn succeeded in everything it did." This seems very different but usually the NLT is pretty solid. Can someone explain this difference? For instance, it's hard to find a middle ground between the rebellion of the Goat (NLT) and the transgression of Israel (NKJV).

verse 25 shows clearly why Antiocus cannot be the little horn...it says....When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power......the non human power that destroys the little horn is Christ HIMSELF.THE Little horn takes a stand face to face with Jesus at the very end......Antiocus cannot fit the little horn as he does not live to the very end...little horn is a power that lives till the end....in Daniel 7 ...a power with similar activities is mentioned as follows.... 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom......Christ faces the little horn in chapter 7 and chapter 8 .Its the same power in both chapters .It is a religious power post Roman Empire collapse

Hey question for someone who knows: Malachai 4 says that Elijah would come before the great and dreadful day of the Lord (which is reverence to the end times... I think it is at least and this might be my confusion). where does the old testament talk about Elijah will come before God's coming of Jesus... am I missing something simple. Can someone provide me a reference.
@kathleenscally93872 жыл бұрын
I think Malachi 4:5-6 is the only reference to Elijah returning before Jesus returns in the clouds to take us home. I believe the New Testament Jewish people were looking for Elijah based on Malachi 4. Before Jesus is born Luke refers to John the Baptist as being in the “spirit and power” of Elijah, but not literally being Elijah in flesh and blood. In Luke 1:17 the angel tells Zacharias, “He will also go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah…“ Zacharias was the father of John the Baptist, not to be confused with Zechariah who is one of the Old Testaments’ minor prophets. Is this what you were thinking?

Daniel 2 stretches from Babylon to Jesus 2nd Coming. The 2300 days are years. We know it begins when the 70 weeks begins. In Ezra 7 we see the decree to restore and build Jerusalem. Beginning in 457BC the 2300 days/years stretches on from that point.
