I actually expected Chandler to win, but I was hoping I'd be wrong; I don't understand why so many fans were rooting for him over Charles. I mean he achieved little inside the UFC to earn his title shot, compared with Charles who has fought almost everyone around his weight inside the UFC to get to where he is. I feel Charles was/is so much easier to get behind, with the journey he's been on becoming the technically great fighter he is - compared with Chandler, who is basically an intimidating powerful wrestler who brawls, bullies, and hulk-smashes his way to victory. Obviously both very good fighters, but I find it much easier to root for the technical guys who silently grind their way to the top, over the powerful physically gifted ones who smash everyone in their path.

I found Charles more likable in embedded. Also he owns most wins and submissions in ufc history. He could be a phenomenal champ to represent the division based on that alone. If you wrestle him he'll make you work, and if you stand with him he'll take you down. Could've said that about Chandler, but he's chinny.

I'm more shocked that such a small short left hook dropped Chandler. Oliver either has deceptive power or Chandler's chin is 🤔. Fighters like Dustin and Gathje hit way harder than that. I have a feeling the 150lb belt will change hands many times, anyone in that top 5 can easily be champion, i think it's not about who's better anymore in that top tier, it's about who's game plan works first. Cause Chandler almost finished Olive, which means both Gathje and Dustin could finish him. But then again Gathje, Dustin, and conor all got tapped by Khabib.
