First off, great video. You're very informed and it shows in your delivery. About the trigger, this is a PDW (personal defense weapon), which means it was purpose built for personal defense, ie, home defense. There have been many studies done on different types of triggers on personal defense rifles and the studies have shown that a heavier trigger in these types of circumstances is a much better decision. The reason is mainly because your nerves are going to be through the roof and having a super light trigger may cause a negligent discharge. There are triggers from all the major companies that are built for this certain type of situation and I would suggest a heavier pull for home defense use. You've got yourself a new subscriber my friend, keep up the great videos.

Justin you are 100% correct!! You don’t want to be in a situation and your nerves get the best of you and you discharge your weapon unintentionally! Thanks for taking the time to drop some lines here! I appreciate the support! Stay up! 💪🏾💯💪🏾💯

Do whatever works for you, but if it were my set up I’d go with a Modlite PLHv2 18350 w/ modbutton or unity hotbutton. Better light and it will save you rail space. Some mbus pros and a Geissele SSP trigger. Whatever you decide, definitely can’t go wrong with a DD!

Good video, but a couple of notes. First, when comparing length to the Scorpion, you don't have the Maxim Defense brace fully collapsed. Second, being a lefty that ambi safety selector is money. Third, the vid as I watch it is about a year old, so if you haven't suppressed it yet, do it, it is amazing. If you do, pull the red buffer tube spring and put in the silver, the red won't cooperate with subsonic ammo and a suppressor. The red spring is loaded form the factory, and is designed to run subsonic ammo without a suppressor. Who in the f*** would spend the extra money on a slower round without a suppressor? I had issues before I identified that as a problem once I suppressed, swapped springs, and oh my goodness it is freaking awesome. Finally, that Maxim Defense pistol brace makes you part of the temporary injunction in the Mock v Garland 5th circuit case regarding the unlawful tyrannical overreach by the ATF regarding pistol stabilizing braces and their arbitrary not passed by the house non-law, so if you didn't lose your firearm in a boating accident on May 31st, you're good for a minute anyway. 👍

I love that gun. I run a Sig Romeo on mine. Question about that fore grip, ATF points system say “perpendicular to barrel”. Did you find something that excludes angle grips on pistols? As an armed brother, I try to steer way clear of their rules. It’s always a double standard with us anyway.
@greyman4702 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the lines Adventure! From what I know and have read, the issue is with a vertical grip and not an angled grip. The angles grip is technically a hand stop and not a vertical for grip. If you had closed that m4 brace it and the scorpion are the same size. The ddm4 is only 20 3/4 inches collapsed. So I'm not sure why you believe is doesn't work well in a bag. A Gamut 2.0 and any bag that size works flawlessly.
@greyman4702 жыл бұрын
My scorpion has the SB Tactical folding brace and it is shorter and fits into my 5.11 Rush 24 quite a bit easier with a little rooms to spare. The DDM4 even when collapsed all the way, just barely fits and slightly stretches the bag. Still a good bag gun but just needs a little more room than the scorpion with a folding brace or stock. Thanks for watching Greg! 💯💯💯
@gregchamberlain75542 жыл бұрын
@@greyman470 So it's just a matter of bag sound like. As I said the DDM4 fits perfectly in my backpack, and has the correct amount of clearance in a muzzle down position. But I get you on the bag stretch. It can be a bit harder to remain inconspicuous with the gun printing. Since you bag carry you might want to look into Tactigami..

I agree. I installed a Geissele SD-E two stage trigger. Prevents hair trigger misfires since it is a 2 stage. However, it is a total 4 lb pull. Technically shouldn't have your finger on the trigger until you have properly identified the target and are ready to fire.

Every top notch rifle or pistol I have has a ambitious safety. I'm a little confused about that statement. But do what you want it's your gun. Smh.
@greyman4702 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Marvin! I don’t like the ambi safety because when I actuate it with my right thumb, the other side of my right hand stops it and I have to adjust my hand so it’s not in the way. Now I could practice moving my hand each time but I don’t see the good in doing that. I’d rather a switch just not be on that side. Just my preference.

I shot 3 different kinds of ammo out of it including a 220g subsonic with the silver spring installed and function was flawless I zeroed for 50 yards doing 3 shot groups with every load and every group was touching under an inch. I shot to 100 yards with groups around 1.5” the trigger is heavy but honestly if your a precision shooter like I am you can pull off very nice groups with the rifle it has a very heavy but crisp trigger and reset. @@greyman470 wrong way of thinking bro.. It doesn't matter the cost of the gun. People have preferences on certain parts on the gun and nomatter what small parts they choose somebody will complain.. example: I change all my flash hiders when I buy an AR because I have a preference and because I have suppressors. Also, I always change the safeties to geissele ambi posi-lock nomatter what they come with. Complaining about stuff like that makes you look very inexperienced. No offense... It's like finding a perfect 1911 that you love but don't like the sights on it. They are good quality sights but you prefer a different style of sights. Is that a knock against the gun because it doesn't have the sights that YOU Prefer on it? No of course not, that would be ridiculous..
