I thought it was a funny incident, but I didn't really hold it against him. I hope he does well.

It was a very nutty choice to race in Trucks next year. When he won in Berlin I said: Wow this guy has talent. The most unfortunate thing was what happened in April this year was the worst was for hitting a guy in the nuts and when it was announced that Dye would move to Trucks in 2023 I said: OMG! someone's going to kick in the nuts during the race. Like ARCA champion Nick Sanchez will move to Trucks in 2023. Will it be a rookie rivalry in Trucks? We will not know what will happen in 2023.

Clicked on this because Daniel Dye is currently one of the most beloved truck series racers because of his in car camera.

I don’t want to remember Daniel Dye for the situation or the memes. He does have the talent and could’ve still won the Acra Championship. Hoping for the best in his future.

I was born and raised and still live in DeLand, FL it's 20 mins west of Daytona International Speedway I had no clue this dude lives here. A friend of mine is a corrections officer sergeant at the Volusia County jail where he was taken and she told me that night she delt with a racecar driver. His dad also has a couple big car dealerships here in Central FL

so basically the important thing is hearing out both sides of the story? the victim is just as guilty as Dye.

I doubt this will really stop him a whole lot, if it does I would surprised, he definitely has talent.

Very long story here, so if you click "read more" get ready! I promise it relates to Daniel Dye, just give it a minute. When I was around 6 years old in 2011, I started running Quarter Midgets at the "Little New Smyrna Speedway", which is in the infield of the normal track. Now I didn't begin actually racing until April of 2012 because of my fear of getting into crashes at the time. Thanks to former NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Dan Pardus, (The father of current NXS road ringer Preston.) eventually I started my career, granted it was a very minor career and I have not been an actual racing car since, it still technically was a "racing career". After winning I believe almost and possibly every race in the 2012 "Junior Novice" class (The lowest possible class in the Quarter Midget rankings), I went into the 2013 season running in "Junior Honda", won a few more races and ALMOST won the championship, however due to the "drop" system, in which I believe two races would not count for the overall championship (Which was sorted by if a driver missed 1 or both of the races, their worst finishes or both.), I ended up with 2nd behind Dylan Hull. Alright, so here's where it gets to why I am writing this to begin with. During the season previously mentioned, every once and a while this driver would run the races in the class I was in, his number being 43 and his name being... DANIEL DYE. He was unbelievably fast, probably winning every race he ran. Had he ran the full season, I probably wouldn't have stood a chance against him in the championship standings... Anyways, the 2014 and 2015 seasons were skipped due to track issues, so we fast forward to 2016, I am 11 at this point. Unfortunately for me, after the 2013 season, I never won a race again. The higher classes were too competitive and and lack of quality parts and overall equipment for my cars were a major disadvantage. My family has no previous racing history and we just aren't very wealthy people I suppose. Where to other racers like Daniel had his father, Randy own a Dodge dealership in Daytona, (and now a BOD of NASCAR apparently, didn't know that 'til i watched this.) definitely some money there... Anyways, I ran with Daniel from 2016 through 2017 in the "Heavy Honda" and "Heavy 160" classes, so we knew each other personally pretty well. He'd always beat me and I'm pretty sure I finished in the bottom half in points in all the seasons I ran after my near 2013 Junior Honda championship. I stopped running Quarter Midgets in early 2018 at 13 after becoming too big for the cars, not to mention a lot of nasty hits and rollovers... Soon before I quit, Daniel told me about this online motorsports simulation called "iRacing", which I started on May, 26th, 2018. Currently I am a maximum safety rating A class with over 3,000 iRating on Oval. Unfortunately, I am currently suffering through what's probably the worst 1 year of my life with my mental health, experiencing at the very least "moderate" anxiety literally every day. Hopefully this changes soon, but I can definitely not guarantee that... Now for my closing statements. While I do have a MAJOR problem for drivers coming up the ranks mostly, if not entirely due to their prior racing family history (someone like Chase Elliott, Austin and Ty Dillon, etc.) or their family own a very successful company (Brandon Jones, Brian Scott, etc.), I can vouch for Daniel that he has always been very respectful towards me (His dad not so much, but eh.). He's one of the main reasons I started iRacing, which I've been addicted to ever since I started it over.4 years ago! He accepted my friend request on there instantly, Conversated with me during a practice session he was hosting with big name drivers like Alex Labbe, and even thanking me on there when I congratulated him after his ARCA win at Berlin in a PM I sent him. Did he make a mistake? Yes, but we all do, some more severe than others and thankfully the other guy made a full recovery. Thanks for reading VanillaWafer (and to anyone who sees this), great video and I wish you well!

Back in the late 1900's, we played a game called bag tag. You would slap someone in the bag with the back of your hand, trying to flick your fingers to almost snap them. So I kinda deel for this kid as apparently they took it a bit too far and all. If Kyle Larson can be almost publicly hanged for using a racial slur almost 3 years ago and now have the fan base he does, Dye can come back from this too.

Jesus Christ. If that’s all that kid did in his high school years the god bless him. I guarantee the only reason that kid went to the hospital was because of who Daniel is. If it was anyone else this wouldn’t have gotten any attention. I guess we forget what we were like at 18

Imagine not being 20, already have a successful start to your stock car career, and already ruin it.... What a joke Daniel Dye is after his dumb action. The fact that he got "suspended" and did not even miss a race is BS. I am glad he lost the 2022 ARCA Championship in an ironic way. I hope his NASCAR career is a failure, but I doubt that is gonna happen. I will never support this kid. He ruined his own reputation. I will never understand how people can still defend his actions or even support him after. Talented kid, bad reputation at a young age and did not really get punished. Pathetic. If you are a young driver in the Stock Car world and do something bad or stupid, hey it's okay, your career is not dead nowadays. Sad.
