I really believe Jayden Daniels is the best fit for this team. Not only does he appear to be way more mature than Caleb Williams but he is the perfect QB for this offense. His explosiveness will bring back read option and make our offensive pieces even better. All they have to do is fix the offensive line and draft a tight end. Brian Robinson will have a pro bowl year with this quarterback.

I think all the initial hype around Caleb and the recent rise of Jayden has people a little concerned that maybe these guys aren’t all they’re cracked up to be finding flaws in both of them. But to me the biggest thing you can bring to the table is personality and Jayden and Caleb both to me after watching their interviews and on field demeanor especially Jayden I think that speaks well for both of them finding a way to make it in this league. I don’t know that either will be a superstar like Josh or Patrick but they will be good and most teams don’t have a truly good QB they are in limited supply. Good luck to both! Jayden Daniels numbers are SO much better than Drake's AND it happened against a tougher level of competition. They're better than Caleb Williams as well and it's not even close. Seriously, look at this: Jayden Daniels - QBR 208.0 (highest in CFB history) 236 of 327 (72.2%) for 3,812 yards (11.7 ypa), 40 TD's and 4 INT's 135 rushes for 1,134 yards (8.4 ypc), 10 TD's. Drake May - QBR 149.0 269 of 425 (63.3%) for 3,608 yards (8.5 ypa), 24 TD's and 9 INT's. 112 rushes for 449 yards (4.0 ypc), 9 TD's

Numbers don’t matter in the draft process the film does. If college stats mattered than Bailey zappe would be the best QB in the league. Hell bo nix would be the consensus #1 pick. But none of those are true because college stats only matter in college. What translates to the NFL is passing ability, not college stats. And for your argument about tougher competition. It doesn’t matter since Daniels had 2 receivers going in the first round and Maye went to a basketball school. So maye’s job was more difficult than Daniels’ hence the worse stats

I wouldn't mind Jayden Daniels, he had a great season. I like Maye, but his college stats are just the same as Sam Howell. Different players, but from a stat perspective, they are literally identical tds to ints in their final seasons. Both Maye and Howell showed their struggles in their final years at UNC. Sam actually had better college stats while playing at UNC. Mayes' best season doesn't match what Jayden Daniels put on tape. I think Daniels just might be the guy. Both players take unnecessary hits and need to be coached up. I think the Daniels just might be the guy they roll the dice on. Either way I'd trust this staff in whoever they pick. They do still need to find two tackles to protect their young QB, whoever it ends up being. Drake weighed 223 and Daniels weighed 210. So both aren't much different from a size perspective.

Unsuccessful season by what standard? Maye finished top 10 in passing per game. #2 nationally in total offense per game all this while he lost all his weapons from the previous season. Tez Walker who was a transfer was supposed to be his number one receiver but the NCAA tried screwing Tez over a dumb transfer rule so he missed the first 4 games of the season and their number two receiver had a season ending injury in game 5. He was playing with receivers that he mostly never had time to build quality chemistry with. Then throw in the horrible coaching at UNC. Mack Brown is the worse at game preparation AND in game coaching, their OC is horrible and their defense was one of the worse in the ACC giving up 27.3 points a game. Drake Maye is also almost a full two years younger than Daniels(Maye still 21 years old)and Maye didn’t even get to play his Senior year in High School because of Covid. It took until your 5th season and granted it was a great season statistically, that won him a Heisman. He had two first round wrs that defenses had to account for. It’s not going to be the same in Washington or New England, these teams will not have 2 wrs ranked in the top 20 at their position. Yeah ok. Furthermore it’s not just the injury aspect. It’s getting yanked down by your jersey like a little league player. Ain’t creating anything on the ground. @@hermitrob5481 Coach you do realize that Jayden Daniels have the highest QB rating in CBS history right? That's not from running the ball. This dude is not a 1 read and run type of QB seen him be patient in pocket and after going through progression takes off which is a bonus. You obviously still butt hurt over RG3 which the organization failed him and Robert failed to protect himself at times but that has nothing to do with how talented this kid is. Again you act as if he can't put on 15 lbs he weighed in at 210 at 6'4 that is big enough. Ppl was saying Devonta Smith was too slim but he is cooking with Eagles. Your only real knock on this kid is his slight frame which he can gain weight and bet coached to slide. Perfect for Kliff Kingsbury system you ain't see a Drake Maye type QB in this air raid system

If you are telling me that a 23 yr old professional athlete can’t gain 10-15 lbs than you lose all credibility. Maye is a Boom or bust prospect more than JD. The one thing I can’t see past is that Maye shuffles his feet and moves in the direction he is going to throw instead of having a solid base. Not only does this give away where he is going to throw the ball it makes him need a larger pocket. All NFL scouts knit that bad footwork leads to bad throws and less accuracy. Look if Wash is willing to wait a year or 2, rebuild Maye from the ground up then take him. In my mind that’s a middle to late 1st rounder not a #2 pick

Daniels stayed in college to develop into a more polished qb why is that a bad thing??? Maye is only coming out this year because he’s scared of what next years tape would be, if you can’t dominate in the ACC you going to come out and dominate in the NFL??? @7 I'm tired of the zoomers who just learned the word casuals and throwing it around errantly lol. Nobody said that's the only reason that he's the best prospect, though, I find it odd that Drake Maye who has terrible footwork and only one really good season out of only two is in the same picture. Jayden's progression has been linear, meanwhile, Maye has shown his inconsistency through regression. He's just not falling like he should because everybody likes Howell and they're like "oh man he's just a taller and better Howell" but he's got the same footwork issues. I get the mirage people are selling on him, but it's all in potential. Whereas Caleb and Jayden have proven time and time again they're flashy blue chip type of qbs going into the NFL. I'm not sure how many of the rest of this class will make it as starters, but Maye is certainly one of those who's an x factor in that if he could magically forget everything and relearn his fundamentals from great coaches then maybe he could be that type of guy people see in his future potential. I just think the odds of successfully reprogramming your entire body like that are low before the season starts as someone who studies kinesiology. He just has to be fully willing to relearn everything, raw would be not having bad habits, he already has those. So it's an uphill battle already in that sense for him. Combine is a good chance to show what you know, and I think it's essential he does that to keep from sliding in the draft.

lol, you just make things up. A big strength with Drake is his ability to zip the ball into tight windows when his WRs are covered because he has an elite arm. Jayden was throwing to two 1st round WRs, with one going in the top 10, who were always wide open, with excellent ball tracking skills. His WRs were always toasting CBs. Drake was throwing to WRs who were always dropping passes and struggled getting open. Drake's best WR is probably a 4th round talent who didn't even start the whole season.
