As a person who is a cowboy fan and not much of a giant fan, I can’t put 100% of the giant lack of success on Daniel Jones . You just can’t. They haven’t surrounded this dude with top quality guys pretty much since he got there and everyone, who criticize Saquon Barkley being picked number two overall they got rid of him because they didn’t wanna pay him and he’s literally been their best player since they got drafted defense has been up and down the receivers. Been MIA in the office of line has been one of the worst since Jones got there and even before that just ask Eli Manning.

Lol Daniel Jones making 40 million dollars a year is insane given his mediocrity and the fact that the Giants will probably win only a couple of games... Connor McDavid is the best player in the NHL and he makes 12.5 million a year. During the greatest season of tennis by a male ever, Novak Djokovic made 12.6 million in prize money while completely dominating the sport in 2011.

Well, last time I checked football is a team sport and they’ve gotten rid of his number one guy in the passing and running game and that’s Saquon Barkley and they haven’t surrounded him with much at the receiver position not to mention the offensive line has been terrible literally pretty much since he’s gotten so you can’t put it all on this man

Great take. McDavid is absolutely incredible and makes 27% of a bad QB’s salary. And no, Jones is not mediocre, he sucks. Still makes poor mistakes six years in.

Or, the coach had no say in who ownership wanted to keep. John Mara mentioned that the organization failed Jones in his years prior to them making the playoffs. This became an emotional decision once that comment was made. When the Maras want a thing done, it’s done.

First of all, if you are going to slam the guy, at least point out the right person who said the DJ criticism isn't fair. DJ never said that; it was Darius Slayton. DJ has only had a decent Oline twice in his career (his 1st and 4th years which were his best years); and no consistent WR weapons until this season. It's the preseason. Let's let it play out this year and then bitch and complain.

This is BS! They are lying because Jones didn’t say anything! Because he signed a big contract that the Giants decided to give him, it’s open season in Jones. Last year he played behind the 2nd worst offensive line in NFL history! He got battered playing behind that line and suffered a career threatening injury. The Giants coaching and management are a disgrace!

I aint even made at D Jones...he from my state, and went to Duke (i was born there) i watched him in college. 3rd Rounder ar best, but he has "the look" and NY took him waaaaaaayyyyyyy to early, and also waaaayyyyyyy overpaid him. White Privilege at its finest but I blame the Giants🤣🤣

Super credible stuff right there.Yeah I’ll wait until the end of the season with how he comes back from injury before making my mind up about this dude. Information on training camp and preseason from radio hosts or the New York Jets, who haven’t done jack diddly squat either isn’t as damning as you might think. The truth is Jones had leverage with the Giants after beating the Vikings in the playoffs and got paid mid tier QB money. Had nothing to do with Saquon at all! Barkley wanted Mcaffery money on a losing team and rejected basically the same money that he took from the Eagles before they even paid Jones. Giants have been an all around terrible team across the board. It’s dishonest journalism to hang all of that on him but in the same sentence make coaching excuses for Herbert?

Daniel Jones isn't great by any means, but some players are just fodder for slow sports media days. I watched this guy make a helluva come back in a bowl game. Nobody would've even known who he was if there wasn't some talent. He played QB at Duke. He literally could've been similar to big Ben if the organization was better

As a Giants fan i just wish the media didnt talk about us since they refuse to be honest. Media is always criticizing teams for overpaying RB's but for some a reason a bad team like the Giants should have paid Saquon!? And also the Giants can get out from the DJ contract after THIS YEAR, not 2 years. Andddd DJ is now paid between the 14-17th highest paid qbs. Media only talks NY teams for clicks.

Mac Jones and DJ both had solid seasons in 2021 and 22. Neither move the needle to make you a superbowl contender but both are much more productive quarterbacks than Justin Fields. I’ve watched him plod around in the pocket taking self induced sacks while being illiterate at reading an NFL defense.
