Federal prisons (in the USA) have an account balance limit of $290 per month for commissary purchases. If an inmate’s account exceeds that amount, the excess funds are held until the balance drops below the limit again. And he can always ask the Monk to top it up for him because Gerard will be on the outside. And with the sentences they hand out there over the pond for federal cases it's pretty easy to work out. $290 X 12 X 120 (obv he won't live 120 years) so let's say 50 given that's he's 46 (kinda optimistic anyways). Sure now, he only needs $290 X 12 X 50 = $174,000 = €159,680. Yer man won't have a problem with that! It's a cheap pension when you think about it like that.
