Silly to claim that people's complaints with the bet of the week is that they never win, when really people hate the shameless promotion of the betting industry whose damaging effects the show carefully avoids ever discussing even when choosing to address other serious issues.

It’s funny how all these teams have their “worst performance of the season” against Bournemouth. Maybe we’re just…great?! 🤨

Yep we beat city and all the talk was about them....your team is having a stonking season buddy!

No you’re permanent relegation fodder. This is a blip, it’s just teams drop standards when they play you to make a game of it

Bournemouth was blessed by a manager like iraola. The guy that did the league double over barcelona in their title winning season.

Let's be real, Spurs are just returning to their mean. They never deserved to be spoken in the same breath as Arsenal, United, Liverpool, etc. Ipswich & Derby have won the league more recently than them, ffs. That's not to say they aren't a big club, but they belong in the same bracket as Villa, Forest, Everton, Leeds & Newcastle. Very big club with historical success & a large fanbase but not a modern powerhouse. They were punching above their weight for a long time & should be commended for that. However, there's so much money in the league now it was always inevitable that they would fall back into that chasing pack. They're not underachieving atm, they are doing about as well as can be expected. Like those other teams, they can't expect to get European football every season. They should just be happy that they're in the fight.

I always say this. The only reason they get elevated above those clubs you mentioned is because they are based in London and the media in this country, like everything else, is ludicrously London-centric so puts them on the same pedestal as the clubs who are actually successful. When teams like Ipswich come up into the premier league after years in the wilderness, the first teams they look for on the fixture list are United, Liverpool, Arsenal etc. Same in the FA Cup, lower and non league clubs are looking for a trip to Old Trafford and/or Anfield. Nobody outside London cares about Spurs.

@@Epsilon04 Spurs shouldn't be spoken of in the "Top 6" because 95% of all the trophies in the last 20 years have been won by 5 clubs with more money than everyone else. Tell this to the media who keep going on about Spurs not winning a trophy while never mentioning the underachievement of Villa, Toon, Everton, etc.

They're below Fulham and Brighton what are you talking about 😂
@Epsilon0421 күн бұрын
@@willspurs4 That is my point though. I am having a go at the media because they are the ones who group you together with the rest of the big six, despite you having nowhere near either the recent pedigree(City, Chelsea) or historical(United, Arsenal) or in Liverpool's case both. I am making the point that the media always blow any and every Spurs defeat out of proportion and hold the club to standards that it simply isn't at and hasn't been at for decades. You are in the same bracket as Villa, Everton, Newcastle etc. A club who won things ages ago but haven't done anything of note in the modern era. I am not even being a Chelsea fan trolling you here btw. I appreciate we were fortunate with Abramovich, he could've easily chosen you and things would've been very different. But ultimately he didn't, we don't live in a world of ifs and can only go off what we have in front of us.

Spurs have so many injuries. If Liverpool had both of their cbs missing they would also losing against Bournemouth.

Listener since 2009 and this season above all I feel like the joy is just completely gone from the podcast now. It's slowly morphed into a carbon copy of basically every other podcast with a game of Jack's Encyclopedia thrown in to tick a humour box. Alarmist clickbait, poor takes on most topics and misquoting from various sources. Meh, shame but life goes on. Wish you all the best
