I've been falsely accused and acquitted. I know personally what it's like. People treat you differently than if you were an unknown. It ain't right, but don't preach the liberal line that were all equal and everyone is treated fairly. At minimum he will have to move far away, get the record sealed and then it's a 50/50 chance he will get a fair shake. Just look at Johnny Depp, has his life fully recovered, and he's a millionaire!

That's NOT what the Bystander Effect is. Basically the people in the crowd are looking at each other for cues as to what should be done and are trying to digest what is happening in front of them. The more people involved, the less likely anyone will get involved. There are various reasons people don't or will not get involved or intervene.

Why nobody helped, all of them men, is a shameless disgrace. How stupid are they not to know about what happens when fanning flames? There was a situation where my dad did help a person who fell off the train by accident and when my dad tried to help this woman, she immediately attacked him for no reason and ended up having a scar on his head which made him rethink of helping people because some New Yorkers are not grateful when we tried to help them which makes sense why bystanders wouldn’t do anything to help others. I know it’s not the same as being burnt alive or getting attacked because it’s completely different with different outcomes but I’m just saying as an example of why some refuse to get involved.
