The more one looks into the mysteries of the world, the more one must think that the ancients knew much more than we did, and lived in a way that is closer and truer to actual reality. They were not indoctrinated to see themselves as God as we are now.

Certainly they were not totally ignorant as many today argue, but let's not pretend there were not egomaniacal lunatics among them; some literally made themselves into gods, and some were even born into families where they were explicitly treated as gods or raised to take on an inherited godhead. Yesterday and today, people are people.

Absolutely true.. we in our modern dispensation think we are far advanced, but in most respects we are far behind the ancients except in science and healthcare
