This show was incredible. As someone who is still not a father, but followed him since the beginning it’s awesome to see his arc as a human. He hasn’t lost his edge and it honestly feels like he’s got back to his origin with grown up material.

"'Let Me Google That For You' stopped being a viable retort around the time that Nazis learned SEO" is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. The part near the end about empathy for your younger self is something I found genuinely revelatory; it has, sincerely, altered how I feel about myself and the world writ large. I also have a bad habit of disassociating myself from the younger entity who ever-so-coincidentally shares my face, but it's always struck me as a healthy sort of psychic separation (the same way a lot of chronic illness sufferers like myself separate our bodies and our brains into different, variably-malevolent entities) rather than the cop-out that it is. I appreciate that.

I watched 'X' because of your review and it became possibly my favourite comedy special ever, excited to watch 'Can't' if it comes to streaming!

This is interesting as Daniel said in an interview that he really tries to avoid writing comedy around his fatherhood, as usually when comediens become parents their material starts to diminish. That's because, according to him, the stuff they joke about in their acts is so relatable to many people that it just becomes easy money.

Seems he's changed his mind... or at least has decided to just go for the bag!

I think ther is alo th aspect that if you dont find any ok perspvtive of stuff you were, and be a bt nice or accepting. That can easy in projcting it on others, i mean it regardless can happen, but if you havent worked on th view on yourself, you wont recognize it early enough. I think at least. So being nic to your old self, is good, if any scifi show with an ashat past taught me. Seriouly lgnd o tomorrow did tht well with rory, a great example o a character that gets bettr, an while the how isnt deep, its emotional good, and he is the bestgrumpy uncle secrtly writing romance novels. And one has comüassion foe himself and hating his teenage self so, its nice being time travel se a past self you dont like at all. And i swear rory from legends of tomorrow is one of th best male rolemodels, along with ray, in very diferent ways. Rory ha tht incredible growth, relapse and growth, andray is, we wa a good choice for superman. Ad yes anything can be made joked about, but the gravity of it should be factored in too and like punch up, not down.
