I’m just like, so blown away by how accessible you make this process look. I’m so intimidated by sewing swimwear and you make it look easy.

Looks lovely espacially that color! But I would advice to use polyester spandex instead of nylon because that is way more chlorine resistant especially in such a bright color. And I would use swimsuit elastic ( rubber or plastic) instead of regular for the same reason

Daniela. I have a question. I know you are about budget-friendly designing and all that and I like that about your channel, but just curious if you have/use a coverstitch machine in the designs you actually sell? I would definitely use it for a swimsuit but I know it’s really optional and done perfectly well with a zigzag or stretch stich, but I’m only curious since I know a coverstitch machine is not something most people use unless they are somewhat professional and they can be expensive and require technique to us. Thanks!
@DanielaTabois6 жыл бұрын
Deadkandy Thank you for feedback. I’m actually not about budget friendly designing. I’m about working on your skills and growing your craft. I’m only doing the budget series to show case that money is no object when you have good skills and a creative mind. As far as the overlock machine. I use it for my business sometimes. However since I design high end I use other techniques and finishes instead of the overlock machine. I used the zigzag stitch method in this tutorial because some ppl don’t have an cover stitch machine. And would use that as an excuse to not be able to make a swimsuit.

Thanks for sharing. Love it! Please check the link you attached for the original bathing suit, it takes me to a mens shirt link :) . I have a favour to ask of you, could you do a flat lay drafting tutorial on how to draft a bodice sloper when using knits that stretch differently, like when to use negative ease vs no ease.

@@DanielaTabois thats not what I meant. I meantyou don't do click bate like other sewing youtubers they'll use someone else's picture and their final product won't look like the picture I love your channel and all I was saying is your channel is more for intermediate sewers and you don't use click bate
