I’d love to see them actually follow closer to the books too. Would be interesting to see how they would play out the experiments Clarke’s parents did, or the fact that Wells burned the tree to get arrested. Or that both the parents were arrested and said to be executed. Could have been interesting to see.

@@dantepr1566 okay so in the books every juvenile who aged to 18 that was arrested was executed no matter the crime because of the oxygen situation. The oxygen situation caused both Clarke’s mom and dad to run radiation tests on orphaned children who wouldn’t be missed to see if they could survive on earth with what they thought they knew about the radiation. They were caught and “executed” and Clarke was arrested for being a conspirator for her parents crimes because she knew and kept going into the room that held the kids. Wells found out about the earth mission plan that would take place after Clarke would turn 18 so to get the mission speed up he caused more oxygen loss and then got arrested by setting a fire to the tree so he could go with her to earth too. In other words, the mission was still going to be the juveniles because they are expendable.

I’d still send them so they can repopulate. i can tell it was probably some hack sci-fi paperback books bc 100 yrs does very little for the radiation. Yes, some deadly isotopes have half-lives if a few weeks or a few yrs, but there’s enough of the bad shit to irradiate the Earth for thousands of years. It’s been 40 years at Chernobyl which was cleaned up and covered very quickly. The new cap that was built, the sarcophagus, was built to last 100 yrs. That will be 140 yrs. (it will probably last at least twice that long). Our grandkids will build a new one (or more likely, their grandkids). And then another and another.

Yeah because it ran out of books to base it off of in season 3! 😂 This is why the writers who started striking last year didn't deserve higher pay. The screenwriters Hollywood has are TERRIBLE. That's why the strike went on so long, they didn't deserve a raise. I would argue they deserve a pay cut! The writing quality has DRASTICALLY gone down in the last 15 years. I blame special effects getting so good. Now they just rely on pretty effects to distract you instead of making sure the writing is done well. That's the most important part of a movie. A movie can still be fantastic without any special effects or a big budget if the story is good.

I agree, They repeated the mistakes of the people that were on Earth before them. Then went to another planet just to not do any better. So many things could’ve been done differently. The leaders needed to make decisions rationally & logically rather than emotionally. Many times in this series, they made decisions because of their emotions/feelings,ego, and whatnot. Such as them not willing to give up Flynn, a war criminal, after he massacred an entire village of unarmed civilians including children and women, risking the lives of all their other people. Putting how they felt about him above everyone else’s safety. Or them massacring the Trikru army that Lexa sent to defend Skaikru from Azgeda. Or them giving up the hydro generator that was to save all their people just to rescue Riley and a few other enslaved.

Exactly, this show has so many bad decisions and plot holes... They sent 100 kids, the future of the human race down to the planet and they chose all the criminals at that. The biggest flaw of the story is how none of them were even given a radio or any means of communication with the ship, like all 100 of them were given these high tech bracelets that could read their vital signs in real time and transmit the data back to the ship but they didn't think to give a single person any radio so they could actually learn about what the kids are experiencing down there? Even worse why do none of these bracelets have the ability to distinguish when the host dies and when the bracelet is just taken off? Meanwhile the biggest flaw of all is how they're on this highly advanced satellite orbiting the planet but its not equipped with any kind of sensors to read radiation levels on the planet, not even so much as a telescope to look for signs of life down there?? Literally all they had to do was grab a pair of binoculars or a telescope and look down at the planet and they'd see tons of signs of life like the mutated deer and the other animals they encountered, even the mutated humans... How does a show like this get green lit?
