This is the most significant NiGHTS thing we've had in years, im going rabid for it. I like that its based on classic NiGHTS design because this is a retro game and in this faux back to the past timeline - the NiGHTS sequel wouldnt exist yet.

This robo dude should’ve gotten so much more in this game. A cameo on the title screen, playable in single player, and maybe a changeable boss fight that has different attacks depending on the parts equipped for an ever changing boss. And also changes to the shop so that parts aren’t as expensive and once a part is purchased, you have it forever instead of just having one single purchased part you need to buy again and again if you want more. That’s what I would’ve done.

It'd be a cool way for a playable Fang campaign too if they made Metal Fang part of the story. The idea in my mind is Eggman creating Metal Fang so he doesn't have to bother with Fang, and then Metal Fang steals the Marvellous Queen. That gives Fang a reason to fight his Metal counterpart (who can serve as like Eggrobo in Trip's Story) without giving him a redemption arc.

Isn't Mecha Sonic a different robot? The one from Sonic &, Knuckles? The one from Sonic 2 was called Silver Sonic IIRC

The one in Sonic & Knuckles is Mecha Sonic Mk II. Silver Sonic is the one in the Master System game, that Metal Sonic summons in his boss fight in Mania (the little ones you have to bounce back to hit Metal Sonic). Archie comic got all the names wrong, so the western fanbase just used those names, but now SEGA want every country to have the same names as the Japanese version, just like they did with Robotnik/Eggman and now Nack/Fang.

Ok this what you need to do: *1.* Go to Bridge Island Act 1. Collect 50 rings and touch a checkpoint. A warp portal will appear on the top of the checkpoint. Jump into it. *2.* Now you need to collect every single ring in the 3 maze stages before collecting the last gold medal. *3.* You're done! You can buy all Metal NiGHTS parts in the shop.
