I agree. I wish this was a thing so much earlier since their debut. Better late than never huh? Now I hope they keep this idea. They could improve some abilities but as long as they keep the idea. Chaos Emeralds are supposed to be powerful by themselves but honestly every game until Superstars they were useless unless you got all 7 just like Dragon Balls which is a shame. They need to be able to do something by themselves if they gonna be considered powerful.

Chaos control is the manipulation of the energy coming from all emeralds (including the master emerald) so it can be done with anything with any chaos power within it (Biolizard Can do it without having a chaos emerald at hand since it absorbed lots of chaos energy from the master emerald) The nature power is just more of a power only the green one has it gives more access to than other emeralds

Well she is an unlockable character. XD She has some weaknesses though. for one because she flies, she's not affected by ground physics so she can't pick up speed going down slopes unless she's in her "wisp" form (which happens automatically when you go through automatic sections). she is slightly slower than in base form when running and the maze like level design doesn't always allow her to fly over the entire level, but she can trivialize tough platforming sections. It really depends on the stage, and some bosses, being super just wastes rings. She trivializes Egg Fortress act 2, but she can't beat Fang as most of Fang's attacks are insta kill and require precise movement which you can't do. Still I'd say it's more an easter egg power but people far better at the game than me can probably get top times with her.

You can always collect Chaos Emeralds at any time. You can even go back to previous stages. And yes, you keep your Chaos Emeralds if you turn Super as any character.

The Chaos Emeralds should not give players power-ups similar to the ones in Super Mario Bros. When all the Emeralds are retrieved, the one power-up players get is the Super Sonic one and nothing else. SEGA TEAM can't go about nicking power-ups from Super Mario Bros. That's plain cheating.
