I mean if you consider the fact being small and reduce weight improves efficiency, Classic Sonic has an advantage but Modern Sonic does have a matured body and trimmed down, he ain't gonna be slow.

Of course Classic Super Sonic would win over Modern Super Sonic. Modern Sonic utilizes the Boost System, which works wonders for long stretches of land like Green Hill Zone. But Chemical Plant and Death Egg were designed around platforming and hidden paths, which Classic Super Sonic is built around.

Classic Sonic developed the Boost during Time Eater as Super and Normal afterwards so they both have it.

For me, Super Modern Sonic to Modern Sonic doens't make so diference. After all, Modern have the Boost whe have the (almost) same speed of Super Modern Sonic without boost.

If we’re being honest. Modern Sonic overall is faster. Classic sonic however has an advantage in smaller spaces since his speed isn’t so immense. Modern is the definition of speed getting out of control
