Daniel, I grew up in California near the ocean. Visiting the mountain where there is snow takes over four hours, and a car with good tires, as you clearly know. My family didn't have a good car, or enough money for such a trip. I never saw snow until I was in my early twenties. And even now, closing on fifty, I've only "been" to the snow, three times in my life. So you showing us your snow filled front yard, the forests, and the icy lake is normal for you, but amazing for me. Thank you for taking us there.

I can't express how much I love and appreciate how you're working to protect the forests - I agree with everything you said. And OMG what you were saying about struggling with certain ways of filming yourself and types of videos!!! It was like you were saying exactly things that I think all the time and struggle with too! Hi Daniel. I can see the Swedish Fairy, chained to a tree in the forest, naked !! he he he "You don't touch my trees, Now Be Gone with You, or I will turn you to STONE !!!" The first snowfall, IN your new home, WITH an INDOOR bathroom, Heating and warmth !!! Yes, it is all very exciting. I don't think Montreal will see any snow for a while, yet. I just have a small patch of wooded area behind my apartment. It's my view and what I call sacred ground. I get mad when people throw trash in there or use it as a storage unit. I go in and remove everything I can. It's like a tiny forest and I want to tell people to leave it alone! It's terrible when they want to cut down beautiful trees. Thanks for posting the names of the plants/greenery. I recognize one of them as only growing where the air is 100 percent pure. That would be reason enough for me to not remove trees. I would love to be able to breathe that air! I hope you find that rare gem in your sacred ground to make their plans a no-go. 🌲🌿

Wow, it was like meditation... to stop for a moment and go back to childhood.. I was born in russia and I miss so much the winters. I remember when it was all covered up in snow I felt like I'm in fairytale. As you were a bit hesitant for the winter months to come, I was not wanting fall to come. Sometimes it’s not easy to let go of certain things in our lives. As the colors changed on the trees, and the temperatures got cooler, I began embracing the fall. It’s not that I hate autumn, but I enjoy the summer, when you can be outside more. So now I try to be outside as much as possible before winter comes. One thing about fall and winter is that it does create the need to cuddle. And any excuse to cuddle and be cozy with someone, makes all the difference in the world. There was a moment when the snow was on the ground at your “new” home, that you looked quite happy. I think mostly because you were looking at your home in a new light. Covered in snow, and it will be your retreat from the cold. (Although I don’t think the cold affects you like it does me. I would not be able to jump in those cold waters like you do. Maybe dip my feet in…..) As for the forest, I too see a dwindling forest around me. Our area is lumber milling country, so loggers come and get trees, leaving their mark that they have been there. Some loggers are respectful, and take only the trees they need, leaving younger trees to grow and hold onto the soil. But there are others who strip the land, and leave the ground barren, awaiting erosion, and taking away homes from animal life. So if you can stop huge companies from taking over the forests, then do your best. Because soon we won’t have good air to breathe, and will have to stay in our homes breathing artificial air. Oh and thanks for taking us along just to chat. Those are nice too. *hugs* ❤❤

I grew up in the desert of Nevada and then moved to California and I have not been to the snow very much so this was a wonderful video to see. That is what I call a winter wonderland. So gorgeous where you live. I loved this vlog. How is your house decor and projects coming along? How do you like living there by yourself? Have you made some friends nearby?

Hey Daniel!!!! So good to see another video from u!!!! Get ready for winter Daniel lol Hopefully this winter will be better than last winter, especially since you have an indoor loo now for one lol lol I say it all the time, u live in a magical place where is is so so beautiful!!!! Be still, be quiet and listen to the ice fairies skating across the pond!!!! I can't stand it when big corps. come in and take out most, if not, all of the beautiful trees to put in cookie cutter houses, what a sin!!! Yes! The forest is absolutely stunning!!! It's very very sad to see the forests being cut out!!!!! Don't they realize they aren't only cutting out the beauty but our air, as well!!! Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, look at that snow!!!! I always say I don't like snow. The real thing to say is I don't like to be cold. My entire life, I have lived in places that had temperate winters. Once it gets close to freezing, or below freezing, I don't want anything to do with it. However, I find snow on the ground, in the trees, on the water, beautiful. What a conundrum!! Every time you take a dip in a frozen lake, I shiver!! LOL I honestly don't know if I could ever do that. But, I don't fault you for doing it. I guess if I had been raised in a cold climate, I wouldn't be the way that I am. I am from Florida, in the US, where the city I am from is on the Gulf of Mexico side of the state, where the water is always warm, even in the winter. In the summer, it's like bath water. In the winter, the Gulf is around 68ºF/20ºC. Not that cold to most people. But to me, we never went in the water in winter because it was too cold!! LOL So you can see why I am the way I am. :) I was just wondering, how much land was included with the property you bought? I know, at some point, you said you had a lot of forest. Just wondering.
