Just seems to be the reality of social media these days - and the ugly face of left-wing extremists. I’m Brazilian and an activist against human trafficking. Laws against human trafficking in Brazil are very loose and the cap for years in prison a person can stay is 30 years. So it’s infuriating when you see a person that clearly has not learnt anything from her wrongdoings be able to walk freely in less than a decade. The laws NEED to change.

I am a US attorney and HT specialist. I have helped pass HT laws in US and have written about the issue. While giving a HT lecture at Oxford many years ago, I met a Brazilian Supreme Court Judge. I have heard directly from Survivors of HT in over 20 counties and the US (and have stats for every country (these stats are printed in a very large book every year). It's helpful to have this conversation in any country because many people including law enforcement do not know what to look for. As a Brazilian person maybe you can answer a question about this case. They say she was from a family of great poverty and a alcoholic father. In America child modeling competitions are not exactly a cheap activity to participate in. Even if the contest itself is not very expensive to enter the outfits, makeup, etc and needing different ones for every event plus travel is going to be for mostly middle class and up families to be able to afford to really be a part of that community. Is that not the environment of Brazilian child beauty pageant/modeling? If it is is her story of poverty exaggerated or are there programs that put such young children into this environment and as such make them vulnerable by feeling a obligation to them? Just interested in the building of this monster 😢

@LunarEleven2 ай бұрын
You're never supposed to go into the Ayahuasca experience without a clear understanding of what you need to get from it. That means if you have trauma, you need to be ready to face it because you can unlock everything you've buried, and trauma can surface in twisted ways if you aren't ready to deal with it. It sounds like she went into it expecting to be told she had a higher purpose and while focusing fully on that, the trauma of sexual abuse was creeping into it, and it twisted her into believing she could achieve her destiny and overcome her trauma by becoming the abuser. That's just a guess but what seems apparent without much armchair psychology is that she had an underlying mental illness and Ayahuasca at such a reckless frequency caused it to surface in full force. Any psychedelic comes with significant risks and equally significant potential rewards. Getting a thorough mental health evaluation and therapy first is the right way no matter who you are. Ayahuasca in particular is a last resort and can be catastrophic to some people. It's not black and white, you are not in a position to "recommend" it or not. Most things in life are a gamble.

As a Certified Quechuan Shaman, certified by someone who works with Ayahuasca, every month is abusive to the plant medicine. My teacher usually works with Ayahuasca once a year and then resting because there's a special diet involved. The Ayahuasca didn't make her snap, she abused the medicine and that's why she's finding out,🧿.

As a Brazilian and your follower for a few years , it always makes me happy when I see you covering brazilian cases because you are so good on telling the story and your research, even thought these stories are infuriating sometimes. My best friend did Ayahuasca a few times, here we have places with doctors that monitor people when they drinkit, I know a few people who have tried it before but they always say you must have a good mindset when going through it, its very powerful when my best friend tried he loved it my other friend had an extreme opposite experience that was so much more like a nightmare she will never forget. These people using it whenever without any professionals like its a common tea is crazy to me, by the stories Ive heard of people who experimented its pretty strong, and wild, I don't think I would ever try it.

The queen of the universe video…how was she not in a mental or (at the very least) a rehab centre? How could anyone watch that and idolize her?! This just points to how prevalent mental health issues have become in young people. They aren’t able to distinguish between reality and insanity and are ridiculously vulnerable. It’s sad. @rebeccasousa76652 ай бұрын
I don’t remember this case. However, as an example, Pedrinho Matador was a Brazilian serial killer, one of the top 10 killers in the world in terms of number of victims. He was sentenced to 128 years in prison, but under Brazilian law, that’s illegal, so in practice, he served 34 years. He had been free since 2018 (and, believe it or not, became a KZbinr). He was killed last year.

There's nothing wrong with Spiritualism, there's nothing wrong with influencers, there's nothing wrong with self love. HOWEVER, do NOT trust someone who claims to have "turned their whole life around." or "you can be just like me if you pay." So many "spiritualist" or "self love" or "motivation" influencers are just like her. High as a kite, manipulative, wanting money and fame, and simultaneously insulting you as much as they love bomb you. It's ok to practice spiritualism and religion, but stay grounded. It's ok to get an outside opinion, but always wonder what their intentions could be. Most of all, NOTICE. RED. FLAGS.
