Ahhh the fall of one of the greatest primarchs and his Sons, one of 40k‘s best tragedies ! The people who think clonegrim will stay loyal and not fall to slaanesh should not get their hopes up, as we know from fabius that he is exactly the same person as Fulgrim with all his character flaws. Thats also a reason why fabius traded clonegrim in, because he knew clonegrim would fall to slaanesh eventually, as he could already observe the same behaviour and characteristics as with fulgrim.

Fulgrim could of stopped the heresy if he would of just fired on Horus when approaching in the void. He had so much potential (him soloing an eldar dreadnought). Hard to read what happens to him and his greatest son Saul.

Huh. People here are quick to pass judgement. Makes me think they haven't read the books. Daemons have a huge impact on people's minds, even primarchs. It's unlikely Fulgrim saw the same thing as mister POV. Combine that with genuine belief in the Imperial Truth, an appreciation for good art (which the sword was, even without it's daemon), and the sheer normalcy of claiming war trophies, and Fulgrim wasn't actually being dense here. That comes later, after his mind is thoroughly screwed - the blade essentially pulls a one ring on him.
