Another lovely video. I so admire and adore your quality of movement and it’s consistent across all of your videos. You make it all look good! Your musicality and the way you lead your partner makes your videos look choreographed even when they’re not. You know your craft and your music so well it looks like you not only hit the accents yourself…but you also put your dance partner in a position to pick up on those opportunities to interpret the music as well. This dance partner’s movement seems very fluid and she really looks confident and relaxed and I feel like she is very much matching your energy. She’s having fun with the dance and it adds so much to the watch ability. I imagine it’s somewhat different dancing on that kind of surface where you filmed this compared to a dance floor. Seems like it would be harder to make your steps look as smooth but you and your partner pull it off. I’m not a trained dancer but I’ve always loved movement and I always knew and could do the latest dances growing up. I have good musicality. I don’t say it to brag but I know true musicality when I see it and it’s not the same as counting to stay on beat. I don’t think genuine musicality or ability to interpret the music and translate it into movement can be taught rather it’s something that you do or do not have that comes from within. Maybe I’m wrong about that. Either way, in my opinion, to be able to become one with music is truly a gift and when I see you using your gift combining it with your obvious talent, creativity, skill, passion and technique it’s such a joy to watch! When you do it with different dance partners in different locations with different themes and inspirations for your videos I just really appreciate your time and effort as well as that of your associates that help you make these videos. I hope you continue to find doing so worthwhile for a long time to come. Congratulations to you for finding a way to devote time to doing something you obviously love doing and that gives people like me such enjoyment. If it’s possible to dance vicariously through someone else that’s what I’m doing when I watch your videos 😂💯😄

I don’t have any preferences. I love both☺️Some songs are better on1, some are better on2. Most of my videos I’m dancing on1 because of my KZbin channel (beginners are watching me). In this case I let my dance Partner decide. So we danced on2☺️

Very nice. You appear to be dancing contra tiempo / son timing. I dance this time a lot but I dance casino. So it's just casino but my time is shifted. How would this be different than on 1 danced son / contra tiempo? I'm looking to learn more linear and exploring on 1 and on 2 and I'm trying to figure out the difference, if there is, between the two when dancing contra tiempo. Thank you!

Daniel Roses, or other qualified dancer, I've seen a lot of your dancing on 1, and now that you mention it, I can see you are on 2. Both look equally great and use the same moves. I've been dancing 15 years and have been a trained and experienced drummer for 25 years. In short, moving your footwork over one count, or when you typically travel in comparison to the song, has no benefit or physical change or look. - Same as if say a guitar player starts his/her pattern on count 3 instead of 4 or whatever. The guitar player will play the exact same thing - here it would matter because a musician makes certain sounds in correlation with the song, but dancers make no sounds. So, how is this on 1, on 2, debate any more than some sort of bragging rites. The benefits that some mention to me on 2, are in my educated and experienced opinion, a fantasy. Like a designer purse is better than another good purse with less clout. But . . . . please correct me if I'm wrong. If you prefer 2 over 1 , or visa versa, please tell me why. thank you

I totally agree with you. This a huge topic. I prefer dancing on1, but depends on the music. If the song has strong beats on2 and 6 I love also to dance on2. My mission on KZbin is to inspire people to dance salsa. That’s the reason I dance mostly on1 since I know it’s easier to follow and copy my moves.
