So far icons such as Patti LuPone, Gaten Matarazzo, Nathan Lane and Lin Manuel Miranda have taken up this role but which one is the most fun cameo? Thanks soooo much for this! I had no idea this was happening, what a great idea! Yes do more! Idina was my favorite! That is an amazing job for the show to get someone every night for who knows how long! Maybe some will have repeat performances. I found a list of them online from 9/15 to 11/19 Idina was the last one. 🥰

I agree with your ratings and their placements in the tiers. Appreciate your thoughtful and joyful evaluation of these cameos. My favorite cameo is also Nathan Lane. Billy Crystal brought it as well and I’d be interested in and have hopes for Martin Short coming back for a solo cameo. I also found Gaten’s presentation charming. Thank you for this fun video and I hope you do another one! Do you have any future cameos on your wish list? I would love to see Sutton Foster, Victoria Clark, Kristin Chenoweth, and Christian Borle make cameos. RIP, Betty White - she would be a treat to see if she was still with us)!

Yes! I'm gonna make another video in the next week or so. Funny you mention Chenoweth as she's actually already done one that would be covered in the next video. As for people I'd love to see do it, I'm trying to think out of the box here. I think Lewberger, the comedy group with Keith from the Try Guys, would be hilarious and the drag fan in me would love to see Bob the Drag Queen or Bianca Del Rio do it.

Finally watching this as just saw Gutenberg - fun to watch the different clips to compare! I actually got Billy Crystal tonight as the guest, didn’t realise he’d been before lol but he added a lot again so still great! Mostly different jokes to what was in this clip as well 😄 I do feel like the cameo was a little distracting in that I had a box seat from rush and was trying to spot who it might be in the audience lol (which I totally failed at). Also I was worried I’d regret which night of my trip I went if it turned out there was a better cameo another night - so I’m happy with Billy, can’t beat top tier! 🤩

I saw Gutenberg! The Musical! tonight (12-7) and actress Tovah Feldshuh did the cameo. While I think she's a great actress, she basically just came on, delivered her few lines, & walked off. It could have been anyone. I don't even think many audience members recognized her. I mean, it was nice of her to show up, but that was about it. You can definitely add Tovah Feldshuh under "Could've done more." The show however, was great! Josh Gad & Andrew Rannells are the hardest working actors on Broadway, in constant motion, moving, joking & singing in a myriad of voices. Gad is esp. amazing, a whirling dervish of comic genius, the natural successor to Robin Williams. Thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Do you know if Andrew and Josh know who's coming up each time or is it a surprise to them? I saw that the marketing team said "look who dropped in to say hello" but I so wish Rory O'Malley had said 'hello' when he came on.
