This is soooo good! This is exactly our problem with our tiny flat in London. What I found amazing was that just by shifting some of the furniture in the bedroom, you could completely change the quality of their wfh life! I wish we saw what you did for toy storage though in the kids' room (definitely need some tips for that).

Wow! You've done an incredible job with a space that seemingly had it's limitations. This is what I love about good design; it not only solves the problem on a practical level, but also a pyschology one. This design seeks to alleviate stress around clutter (hello parenthood!) and trying to maintain a clean, efficient environment also.Love that you've not only designed the space, but were sensitive around budgeting as well as pointing the couple in the direction of how to DIY the storage area themselves. Only thing missing from this video...an update from the couple to see if they enacted the ideas. Hope you can get an update from them, otherwise an absolutely beatiful job!

I really like the design choices you've suggested for this apartment! Do you ever do a follow up to see what the spaces look like after you present the design to your clients? Was there any consideration given to making any changes in the children's bedroom or were the clients happy with the function of that space? I"m definitely going to search for more of your videos!

I agree, I would like to see a video addressing how design aspects have been used. I think it would be interesting to see the improvements made by the redesign and also where there may be further improvements to be made. Such as this design, I think that top opening boxes would be more accessible next to the dining table.

Same in the area of Paris. It always makes me smile when something barely smalker than my current flat (90m2, 4 bedrooms, 6 people living there comfortably) is described as ”tiny” - but depending on the amount of stuff ones has or the style of one’s furniture, it can indeed feel too small.

Germany here, it's why I clicked on the video. That is a nice big flat from a European viewpoint. They could improve it drastically by decluttering and tidying it. Then just move the existing furniture and they have a spacious flat at no cost at all.

Fantastic as usual. I would prefer (as a flat owner) a bit smaller dining table for 6 and a separate TV cabinet in different color, to avoid the whole living area feel like a huge extended kitchen. Also with such a small space I would rather pick white furniture and light kitchen color.

Where I'm from (Argentina) most middle class families of 2 adults + 2 children (sometimes more children) live in a house/apartment just a bit smaller than this. It works wonders, but the layout is much simpler since it's a square shape. The new layout with the workspaces is so good! The only thing that was missing was kid's toys everywhere haha

I think this design is really good, but as a dad of 3 (aged 15, 14 and 6) I would strongly recommend to consider using the larger bedroom for the kids. Adults rarely spend time in the bedroom outside of the bed. Kids however do. First with toys, then homework, then friends come over to play on the Xbox, and so on. And within a few years, they might want to have some privacy which may require an extra wall or devider. Also, if you would use the smaller bedroom for the adults, you could look into tearing down (a bit of) that new wall, reinstating that awesome modern open look of the apartment.

Fantastic work! I love the new visualizations of the thought process behind your design decisions. The only suggestion I would make (assuming it isn't time intensive!) would be to add nightime/artificial light views to the final renders. The apartment looks fabulous during the simulated daytime view, but I am curious what it looks with a nightime view and the light source coming from the modeled lights in the apartment! Also, I wonder how difficult it would be to import your SketchUp models into the Unreal Engine so you could do a "live" walkthrough of the design... Anyway, wonderful work as always, and I wanted to thank your for sharing your talents with us.
