That's interesting how they're using the Loma Linda carts for recycling. They should've had plenty of new carts available for their new contract, yet it should be obvious that CR&R does give "refurbished" carts. A couple of my neighbors here in Orange did receive some rotos when we received our two extra trash carts a few weeks ago.
@DanielWDonuts3 жыл бұрын
i guess CR&Rs cart stock is running low. why did you quote refurbished? cr&r does a good job at refurbing carts. also, you moved to orange?
@NorthOCRefuse20163 жыл бұрын
@@DanielWDonuts I quoted it because some of our neighbors were telling us about the carts they received before. They were talking about the carts used by Waste Management before the city switched to CR&R in 2010. They do a pretty good job of refurbishing their carts, to where I even noticed a city of Tustin cart that was given to replace a broken green waste cart. Yes I did move to orange, as my sister bought a house near the 55 fwy. The pandemic made the housing market more affordable for us.

Very interesting that they were giving out Loma Linda Schaefers, did they run out of new Toters or something lol? Great video! Nice to see you posting again.
@DanielWDonuts3 жыл бұрын
yea i find it enteresting they did that, and i guess their stock on recycle toters was low. i dont post much because i am lazy lol.

Using refurb carts is just another way to make things cheaper. I’m guessing CR&R spoke with the city of El Moderna and made a deal to lower costs if they could used refurb’d and/or re-issued carts. This is not uncommon when the city wants a cheaper price. The contractor doesn’t have to buy new, or as many new carts, so they can lower their rates if they have a good stock of used carts they can issue instead.

Really odd to see used B-series given out. did you catch them dropping off used rotos? Though it is unusual I think it's awesome to see. Hope there's more of it going on. I also noticed two different body colors for the toters. Looking forward to the cart takeaway video as well.

seeing the b series was definetly interesting. i didnt see them dropping off rotos, but i saw rotos in some area they rolled out before i got there. the roll back video will be an exciting one!

@@DanielWDonuts I do personally know that broken bin problem that some places over in America have had before, whilst some bins have lasted a good period of time there were just heaps of broken bins, completely wrecked bins are very rare in my area because of what we use
@DanielWDonuts3 жыл бұрын
broken carts arent as big of a problem as you think. the trucks that service you have weak grippers, i bet you if an amrepserviced you enough times your cans would break.
@Lotr29873 жыл бұрын
@@DanielWDonuts My bin is a Sulo about 10 years old, the lid is a fresh new Mastec lid, most of the bins in my area are still original from then, because of Australian trucks broken bins are extremely rare, and they are supposed to come with grippers like that and they don't slam bins so hard so very little of a problem
