DANISH FOOD IN COPENHAGEN

In Copenhagen, we ate a lot of food and yet there were still so many dishes we didn't get to try. It's pretty clear that Copenhagen does good food! We tried the famous Smørrebrød (Open sandwich on dark rye) and Danish Hotdogs (what it says on the tin) but we also found that food in the city was relatively international. Wherever the dish came from it was always delicious.
We also raided the 7-Eleven more than once!

Oh, thankfully a video where the tourists didn't get the wrong version of our beloved Danish grilled hot dog! Many tourists come to dismiss our hot dogs simply because they unknowingly got it from one of our ecological hot dog stands which shamelessly serves hot dogs made with whole wheat / rye bread style buns and they taste much worse. You guys did good by getting the original grilled hot dog made with white bread buns! Bravo! This classic Danish grilled hot dog is superior to the classic American hot dog!

Hi Lora, smørebrød means butter and bread or butter on bread, the basic thing on which you "build" it up, to what you call "open face sandwich"... hope it makes sense

A bit weird, when showing some danish food places, and you pick to go to a US concept store 7-eleven. Where you only get bad quality food.

I see your point. It's not something we have in the UK so it's probably still a bit of a novelty for me as they're so regional in what they sell. When visiting Japan it was an interesting way to get exposure to loads of foods I'd never seen or heard of before. You're right it's not the quality for sure but it's more to quickly grasp what types of foods are around.
