Kristen, your channel is always such an 'Adventure Arriving!' because there are always surprises from the people and/or their locations you have found. This one with Thomas Dambo deeply touches my heart because of his ethic, creativity, resourcefulness, and complete delight in repurposing useful materials. Our world would be so different in the all of the best ways if five to ten percent of the population were inspired to adopt similar attitudes and activities. This has been my favourite Kirsten Dirksten video yet!!! How can you not fall in love and be inspired by this man!!! We need so many more of him in this world!! I know he’s inspired me!! Off to find my freebies, tear downs, renovation sites, free online giveaways in ads and YES I am even going to start going to dumpsters and the big dump. This really opened my eyes up and I’ve watch another one of her videos of two architects in Mexico City that broke away from the fancy firms they worked in only building and designing 5 & 6 bedroom homes for people that only had two kids!! So proud of both of them for standing up and saying no more and the things they have created are just beautiful!, It takes far more creative talent to make garbage into art than to cut down trees in a planet that is clearing telling the human race “ENOUGH!!” Yet we keep just watching disaster after disaster after disaster……….every day a new one or four in the world and we STILL keep doing the same damn things!! You know what I think…..I truly feel that the world is trying to create these tragic and deadly scenarios to try and save itself from being killed off by us. Covid came from nature,fires,tsunamis,floods,hurricanes,droughts,earthquakes,volcanos. Earth is angry and if we don’t stop right now and fix this all we won’t be even close to being ready to jump to another planet. Nor do we deserve one. We knew this decades ago just push it under the rug it will go away. How’s that working out for all the victims of Covid and the insane weather getting worse every year. I found this little and this man so inspiring and ultra talented in his designs!! He should be getting a huge architects wage and I’m sure he doesn’t make too much. Modest living but just look how utterly happy this man who jumps into dumpsters is everyday!! My heart just exudes at what a remarkable young man he really is!! Thank you for what you do Kirsten I’ve watched so many of your videos and loved every one but this so far is my all time favourite it actually even mad me laugh when he whistle buy with his cart empty the two seconds later he whistles by with his cart loaded up taller than he is! Just halarious! Thank you to the man for putting out content so other can learn how to make what he does so they can start somewhere without going to school for 4 years. Bravo!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

i am just baffled, astonished, outraged at some of the stories he told about the mass waste. I mean i know its big, but things i pay money for people just throw out. Ive been building and collecting pallets lately and man, crazy amounts of wood. Thanks for this video, so inspiring and motivating. Yall are great!

We were given a certain amount of money to decorate our classroom for the contest. So I made a beautiful Angel out of white paper plates. His imagination is awesome. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Another fantastic piece of work Kirsten. So much waste in our society. It is inspiring to see what one man can do with waste. I hope that this video can inspire many others as they trek into the world of tiny houses and bus life and the many other ways of living and encourage us all to rethink how we build. It has certainly made me rethink a few of my projects now, and of course it leaves us with a sense of satisfaction in the fact that we are helping to reduce waste as opposed to adding to it. Custom cabinet places are really great for getting pieces of wood for projects. I go around to a few places. They put all their scraps and off cuts into a large bin and put it out once a week. Whatever I don’t use goes into the fire pit. :)
