Suss did everything right and it still didn't matter.

2009-2011 was not kind to him. Even his match against Timo Boll in the European Championships SF, he played well above his level and against anyone else, it would have won convincingly. It seems Timo and Ma Long are simply better at crucial points. While the scores are tight, Ma Long was always in the lead and Suss was chasing.

@@detherocablest7054 true but the same can be said about Bastian or even Baum! Suss had the best forehand loop opener I've ever seen and it was a destroyer until the Chinese focused on learning to counter it.

Is Christian Suss retired?

That's possible. Most word-top-players use hard rubber on there backhand and a softer rubber for the forehand (more spin). Hard rubber = more speed

wow suss gets most of the lucky net balls..

Wow Guoliang is just the best...when Ma Long started adding less pace and more spin to his backhand from the 3rd game on Suss just had no chance. I do believe the first set should've been for Suss instead of Ma, that one lucky net point.

His name is Süss. If you don´t have a "ü", you have to write "ue", that´s the same. But "Suss" ist wrong! xD

But soft-European/Japanese-rubbers are little slower, but more spinier and more control able than hard rubbers. And BryceSpeedFX is faster than Tenergy05, but BSfx is softer, because they are different from each other. BS (normal) is harder than the FX and faster. So, the soft rubber can be faster than a hard rubber, but that is the way how the rubber is made. Normally harder rubbers are faster. But not always. Maybe Chinese soft rubbers technology than the hard rubbers are made to be faster.

Did Süß say "hao cho"? No, he didn't. There has been lots of discussion about this subject over the internet with Chinese people involved in it and the conclusion is that Cho alone doesn't really mean anything. It's just a way to celebrate a point and pump up yourself. And how do you know Süß didn't say for example TSO? And why does Ma Long say Joh or Joo sometimes with no meaning in Chinese? Why do you care?
