Opal Suchata was my prediction from the beginning to the end and she took the crown. She just stands out in all categories, she is just pure gorgeous. Thailand really up their game last year and this year by sending two absolutely beauty queen to represent their country but I have said Opal Suchata just have that Thai beauty that you just can't take your eyes off.

To provide additional context, PK’s wife, whom he cheated on, is a supermodel. Superficially, many felt she was out of his league in terms of looks, and that her marriage to him limited her opportunities to advance in her career. So when their divorce was announced, the public was not on his side at all. Then, a few weeks after the announcement, a Vietnamese model accused him of stalking her. She posted a photo of PK in the lobby of her condo, waiting for her. She claims she doesn’t know him and doesn’t know how he got hold of her address. The police were called. He claims they’ve been talking for months. I haven’t heard an update yet about this.

No.40 Opal Suchata was my predicted winner the moment she announced her candidacy. Because she was so ready for the whole competition. Upon watching MUT prelim and finals, Opal is not only my MUT winner, she could even win MU at this point. So im not even surprised she won MUT, cuz MUT is solely a stepping stone for her bigger reach. She is THE ONE to beat this year. She is one of those I cannot see her NOT winning. Definitely a Top5 even Top3 in Mexico.

i felt that 33 is fierce but she is not as endearing and relatable to Thai people. Her interviews were awkward (if you have been following TPNG series of challenges esp interview). And how she just walked off quickly after being called for top 12. and.. that silver evening gown during finals does not elevate her tbh...

Fun Fact: Opal is the only TOP 5 from TPNG Era (2019 - present) who come back and have a higher placement than their previous one. She basically break the "Return Runner-Up Curse." First-Wang: Top 5 in 2019 --> Top 10 in 2022 Veena: Top 2 in 2020 --> Top 3 in 2023 Opal: Top 5 (then Top 3 after 1ru resign) in 2022 --> Winner in 2024

To those who might not know, some Thai fans who didn't root for her, always say Opal is TPN's favorite from the beginning and the crown was customized for her. I do not understand why they say that as we see, she has MU material indeed. I am a Thai fan and glad to hear your comments. It is really positive for her.

The other girls were from other provinces and in my opinion not as beautiful as Opal and do things and poses with exaggeration which many Thai gays from their own provinces likes. Also they don’t even have advocacy. Some of those girls belong in miss grand and not MU material

Hi Dani.. I always love your commentary and recaps. I cheered for Opal Suchata since 2022 and am very satisfied with the results. She is fully bilingual in English and Thai, has the looks, the experience so I'm hopeful Thailand will advance to at least top 5 once again in MU. I was going to explain why they changed hosts this year due to the controversy surrounding the previous host's divorce with his celebrity wife due to an extramarital affair but someone already elaborated on it below. For Opal's Q A in the final round, she spoke of her previous experience having to remove a breast tumor at age 16 (she didn't go into this detail on stage though) but this was a changing experience in her life leading to her campaign "Opal for her" advocating to support women and breast cancer. This was a solid answer in my opinion, relating back the question to one's personal experience and how she has empowered women and will continue to do so through this campaign. I hope this rings well on the MU stage!

i hope so too. as much as past year winners advocated on HIV, breast cancer is something to be highlighted too as it affects so many women globally. However, I wish Suchata can diversify herself to other causes too.

She even went to El Salvador last year to further her exposure to the Miss Universe and observed many aspects of a beauty queen. And, she leveled up her gown this year by choosing a Filipino designer, Rian Fernandez, who also designed Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel's beautiful black gown in New Orleans.

I watched the pageant live on you tube. I had number 40 as the winner Opal do you see in some parts when she was looking into the camera I see Veena . Also notice every year they open up with a gold Gown People were saying she was 3 rd runner up in 2022 I was thinking she does not look like the 3rd runner up from 2022 she looks so different from then to 2024 it's like looking at 2 different ladies . I was able to watch the pageant and enjoyed it so much. I have some stupid comments or questions and I am curious as to your opinion. Is it me or do these gowns look EXPENSIVE? And when I say expensive, I am saying $10K to $30K. The last time I saw a gown of that caliber in USA was when R'bonney won USA in Ryan Fernandez (spelling?). And I am not sure but is the jewelry sponsored? The reason I ask is that I would bet that those jewels are real. I mean not good or expensive Cubic Zirconia but REAL diamonds and pink sapphires and pearls. It is a pet peeve of mine to see a beautiful dress and then an obvious fake earring or bracelet. Crowns in the latter era were designed and cut in factories. Being in Thailand, with Thai people, the crown comes out in Thai style. Asian style... It's different from the Miss USA crown that is similar to a comb.😂😂😂❤🎉
